Any sign of the PDF?

Postby silashand » Thu Jan 19, 2012 9:20 pm

Just wondering if the PDF rulebook was still slated for this month? I and a couple friends are waiting for it to pick up the rules.

We have actually had requests from retailers to delay the release of the PDF - it is likely to appear around summer time.

Well that sucks to be frank. I guess I will not be giving the game a try for some time then because I simply do not want a hardcopy of the rules. A PDF on a tablet is just so much more convenient and useful it's not even funny.

<sigh> Guess I will check back here in 6 months or so :(

It is unfortunate, though I can understand the reason behind it. (Well, perhaps it would be easier to do so if my FLGS wasn't having such a hard time trying to get the book itself, but that's another story...)

In any case, would any future upload to DriveThruRPG be a "living" document, which would be updated should any future errata be required? (ADB are able to treat their documents on e23 as living files; For example, when the FC Reference Rulebook was updated not so long ago, the new version was made available for anyone who had already purchased an older edition of the RRB file.)

It would indeed.

And here's me thinking that as my FLGS hasn't got any books yet I might get the pdf to tide me over, and allow me to have a good look at the rules before playing.

Will you have stock at Vapnartak in Feb?

We will indeed. In fact, I do believe we will be running a few games there as well - so swing by and pick a side. Federation or Klingon!
