Map of Magnamund...

Postby Kal Sunrider » Sat Aug 23, 2008 9:32 pm

Has anyone been able to successfully extract the map of Magnamund from the back of the main RPG rulebook without destroying it? My gaming group just ran our first successful Lone Wolf RPG game last night (with plans to continue in two weeks) and I'm wanting to take the map from the rulebook and tack it up on the wall in my gaming room, both to be used as easy reference when we are playing, but also because the map is a beautiful piece of work and would look wonderful up on the wall. If I have to, I suppose I could try and get a copy made at a local print shop, but I'd love to get the original out of the rulebook.

PS: For those of you purists out there, I actually have two rulebooks, one in pristine conditiion and one not so, it would be the damaged book that I'm wanting to get the map out of. If it's not possible to get the map without destroying the back cover, that's fine, I'll lose the cover, as long as I can get it out without damaging the map. Anyone have an idea?

I have never played ro owned the Lone Wolf RPG, however, I did used to blag every downloadable RPG and minis game resource from the M ongoose website, in amongst the Lone Wolf stuff I downloaded was what seemed to be a map of Magnamund, the link is gone from the Mongoose website, but the jpg file still seems to be there. Here is the link:

If that is what the map you refer to, and it saves you splitting even the damaged book, you're welcome.

If not, I apologise, but as Is ay I've never even owned a Lone Wolf RPG book so I'm kind of working blind.

Thanks for the link; I actually do have a copy of that jpg; I was looking for an alternative to dealing with a printers to have the poster size map made, fortunately I was able to dislodge it from my old book (that already has the pages falling out, something happened to the bindings), and am about now to place it up in my gameroom.

Fair enough, LW is not my area of expertise.

The best map of Magnamund (IMHO) is here: http://outspaced.fightingfantasy.org/Im ... namund.jpg

Absolutely. It's beautiful, accurate and it works!!!

I just wish we could have some more info on some of the "unexplored" areas. 25 years... and waiting!!!

I know that some Italian fan is working on a similar map. He's making a six-parts map, but only the first three parts (all of Northern Magnamund) are currently online:

Central: http://www.monasteroramas.net/images/ma ... a84/02.jpg
East: http://www.monasteroramas.net/images/ma ... a84/03.jpg
