Under British law you can advertise something for whatever price you like but it is not until the retailer agrees to do the deal at that price, IE takes payment and issues a receipt at that price that the price is set for an item. So I could own a shop advertising a car for 3p, until I choose to sell that car at 3p and then renege on the deal it would not be breaking the law. But of course most retailers will not do this is most case as soon they would not have any customers.

i cannot understand:Truth is, there is indeed text getting cut off, and the crosshairs. Is it really so hard to print a book properly without those errors?
Lone Wolf got a great community at
projectaon.org
so why Mongoose doesn"t check them before printing?
(my english grammar is not good but you can understand)
I have stopped buying the books for now.
correct, so i am disappointed a little more.he one of section 129 leading to section 309? That should be something for JD himself to correct, since he is the one who made the book and it has been a recurring error in almost all versions of that book, from the Beaver Edition to the Sparrow one.
Some sections more with no logical errors would be nice.
It would make me more happy then an additional mini adventure.
Who likes them?
Yes you are right. I think Dever should read the problems listed in the projectaon forum. So i´m very curious if Dever eliminates some questions of the old books like the tournament with altan or the riddle with shamath or the difficult fight with zakhan kimah and so on. That is the fact that I bought the new mongoose books so far. But if I see no improvements I wouldn´t buy any of the next books until we reach "The Hunger of Sejanoz".
Nevertheless the first of the new books was fantastic - a better story and a realistic story.
So please Mr Dever - read the many many posts in the projectaon forums and your books should be better than before.

So it sounds like Mongoose need to show the "correct" price on their books then ie the £10.95 price, or lower the prices for all?
Well I'm not gonna take it any further as I want LW to continue to be published, but if they are gonna charge me more for the books then I sure as hell wanna see that reflected - both in the quality of the book (no more errors please, or at least less than previously shown) and the right price on the book.
On a plus note I'm really looking forward to LW 5. I guess the bonus adventure will be Banedon and the Skyrider, so that will be cool.

Hmmm, I have just read through this entire thread, and that combined with the fact that I am a Mega-Deal customer (ordered VERY early on, long before the 1st book was released) and I have yet to even receive book 4 (in whatever "condition") AND Mongoose seems rather reluctant and/or unable to answer questions here AND their customer service has seemed to cease answering e-mails has me regretting spending that $600.00. (Maybe I am a less important customer because I am a "foreigner"?) ha (Just a bit of joke there referencing a previous poster's xenophobia. Anyway, after 3 e-mails (spaced 2 days apart each) I have yet to get a response as to the status of my copy of book 4. Am I the only remaining Mega-Deal customer who has yet to receive this book? Or are Mongoose working on a subsequent priniting in order to iron out some of the errors? (Though it could have been lost in the post, but I don't even know if my copy was even sent as I can't get anyone to answer my e-mails...which were actually quite civil and succinct, but after spending $600.00 I am getting to the point at which "civil and succinct" are seeming rather pointless). Cheers.

Hi there,
Send me a mail at msprange@mongoosepublishing.com, and I will look into your order. Please also be aware that many Mongoose staff are not in the office at the moment (I am typing this from the lounge of Vegas airport, of all places).

To Fordy-
Wow that sounds like a good mini-adventure. I would never have thought of doing that, so I'm looking forward to playing it.
I wanted to write a mini-adventure, even volunteered, but haven't heard anything so I guess that's out now
Waaaahhh!!!
Still, the ones so far have been exxcellent and I'm sure it will continue with yours.
I've pre-ordered my book 5 now - Mongoose, do me proud and I will happily sing your praises on here!

I'm from Canada, Mega-Deal buyer and I have yet to receive my book 4. However, I got my first 3 books all at once and they were all perfect (except a minor typo in the main adventure and a section leading to the wrong one in the mini-adventure of book 3). Seeing that they got some problems again with book 4 and that they are switching printing facilities, I have expected the delay and I know that when I'll get my book, it will be perfect. I'll start panicking only if I don't get my book before book 5 is released (which is soon).gamey_wolf wrote:Am I the only remaining Mega-Deal customer who has yet to receive this book?

I think you've missed the update that Matt posted here a while ago. Sadly, the post was deleted (along with almost all the other ones that had been posted the same week) because of a problem with the forum. Luckily, we at TotS saved it!http://daziarn.proboards54.com/index.cg ... thread=191columbob wrote:Hi folks,
Still haven't received my book 4 yet, I'm in Canada. Sending an email to Mat Sprange right this moment.

I won't be surprised if Matt says exactly the same thing to you in his answer about book 4 and 5, but if he does, please let us know!
