Strom wrote:I'm happy with the original S&P Index as I created it, especially as the end nears. The search is hard from difficult and organized by issue which is what I intended.
Well, I meant to add issue number in the mix, like this:
Races
6---------------------Of Chariots and Acheronians------5 pages
11--------------------What's in a Name----------------------------2 pages
12--------------------What's in a Name----------------------------2 pages
14--------------------Sons of Anshan---------------------2 pages
20--------------------Darkarra: The Spirit Eaters of Darfar--5 pages
41--------------------The Saami------------------------------5 pages
61--------------------Pygmies of the Hyborian Age------------5 pages
But, it's your dealy. Just trying to help.
I know the organization would help me--better tell what the article was about.

No problem - I'm just sharing my opinion. There are a variety of ways the list could be done but I'm going to update the current list as it is until the end. Perhaps when Mongoose Conan closes down, this list will be moved to the S&P forum? Mayhap.

You're expecting this forum to close down?
Why would they do that?

Maybe it will - maybe it will not. One can never tell with licensing.

How much earlier are we talkin' here? The only stuff I'm missing is the pre-PDF, non-
Conan Compendium material. Being print material from waaay back, I'm not holding out much hope of ever obtaining it.
If, however, that's just the stuff you're referring to, do let me know.
Thanks.

I notice that a lot of the stuff from the print-only issues have made it into different supplements, there and there. Does anybody know if all the stuff from the pre-electronic S&P has made its way into a different supplement?

Issues 1-24 of Sign & Portents were pre-electronic and these are the articles that were for Conan:
6---------------------Of Chariots and Acheronians------5 pages
7---------------------Solo and Duo Play------------------4 pages
9---------------------The White Hand of Hyperborea ---6 pages
10--------------------Return of the [Real] King----------2 pages
12--------------------The Bandit-------------------------- 3 pages
13--------------------Three Sides of the Coin------------4 pages
14--------------------Sons of Anshan---------------------2 pages
16--------------------The Kordavian Way-----------------3 pages
18--------------------Riders of Tombalku----------------- 1 page
19--------------------The Wilds of Hyboria------------------6 pages
20--------------------Darkarra: The Spirit Eaters of Darfar--5 pages
22--------------------Red Nails----------------------------- 1 page
8----------------------Roleplaying in the Hyborian Age-----------5 pages
11--------------------What's in a Name----------------------------2 pages
12--------------------What's in a Name----------------------------2 pages
18--------------------Refusal to Submit----------------------------3 pages
10---------------------Danger in the Westermark------------------6 pages
17---------------------Plunderers of the Dead----------------------12 pages
21------Khemi: Ancient Spiritual Home to the Priesthood of Set---7 pages
24---------------------Tortage---------------------------------------------- 5 pages
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conan Compendium contains:
1) S & P #7---Solo and Duo Play
2) S & P #9---The White Hand of Hyperborea
3) S & P #10--Danger in the Westermark
4) S & P #12--The Bandit
5) S & P #13--Three Sides of the Coin
6) S & P #16--The Kordavian Way
7) S & P #17--Plunderers of the Dead
8- S&P #19 - Encounters (Wilds of Hyboria)
9) S&P #20---Darkarra: The Spirit Eaters of Darfar
20 articles pre-electronic - Compendium covers 9 of them - so there are 11 articles left.
I don't have time to check - but I believe - many of the 11 left are covered elsewhere.
The 11 left:
6---------------------Of Chariots and Acheronians------5 pages
0--------------------Return of the [Real] King----------2 pages
14--------------------Sons of Anshan---------------------2 pages
18--------------------Riders of Tombalku----------------- 1 page
22--------------------Red Nails----------------------------- 1 page
8----------------------Roleplaying in the Hyborian Age---5 pages
11--------------------What's in a Name---------------------2 pages
12--------------------What's in a Name---------------------2 pages
18--------------------Refusal to Submit---------------------3 pages
21------Khemi: Ancient Spiritual Home to the Priesthood of Set---7 pages
24---------------------Tortage--------------------------------5 pages
If I remember right Return of the Real King is really just an ad - maybe has King Conan stats which you can download for free on the free download section but I do not remember exactly.

Maybe we can figure out what's left.

I think this, or at least half of it (because it looks like every other name was omitted), is included in The Player's Guide to the Hyborian Age.
----------------------Roleplaying in the Hyborian Age---5 pages
This one is really just an article talking about using non-Conan d20 supplements in the Conan RPG. Like you say about the King Conan article, this one is easily missed.
21------Khemi: Ancient Spiritual Home to the Priesthood of Set---7 pages
This one is also in the Compendium. You missed it.
24---------------------Tortage--------------------------------5 pages
There is some stuff on Tortage in Cities of Hyboria, but I doubt it goes into the detail of this article.
There's also a map and fairly lengthy write-up on Tortage in Argos and Zingara. Whether this is the same information from the article, I don't know (but it could be).
What's that leave?
6---------------------Of Chariots and Acheronians------5 pages
14--------------------Sons of Anshan---------------------2 pages
18--------------------Riders of Tombalku----------------- 1 page
22--------------------Red Nails----------------------------- 1 page
18--------------------Refusal to Submit---------------------3 pages
And, possibly...
24---------------------Tortage--------------------------------5 pages

The S&P "Tortage" article was written by Vincent who also wrote
Argos & Zingara. However, I'm pretty sure the material in the former is different (in some respects, at least) from that presented in the latter.
The Tortage write-up is one of the few pre-PDF, non-
Compendium articles I
do have, actually, but, as I'm at work right now, I can't really compare the two pieces until I get home.

Unless someone beats me to the punch, that's what I'll do and get back to y'all regarding any differences.

Is it me, or can the article titled WONDEROUS MATERIALS in S&P 50 be used in Conan or Runequest? The article references Armor Piercing, and costs are given in silver pieces.
It seems to me that this material can be used, as-is without change, in the Conan game.

No Conan at all in 89? Well, I know this is a "dead game" but at least they still offering Thieves companion articles, and by the way, in Barachas article, reference about "Tortage City is explained in page 89" I guess it is from the original text, so... Why not to publish that data?

I just noticed that this list is lacking one article:
RULES/RACES
- S&P64: Body & Spirit (Hyrkanian Medicine and Religion), 10 pages
Moreover:
The following articles has 4 pages, not 3.
78--------------------The Underhanded Side of Sorcery---------3 pages
