Really excellent to see this. Would that I could persuade my group to break off the current campaign we are in (although the next mooted game is 2300AD, so I shouldn’t complain!). This type of playtest is the best feedback though.
Still finding a few pages - mainly on updated Paranoia books - are still locked.
I just checked the PDF Expert app and it costs $250NZ. I just want to read my PDFs as the files were intended, not turn into a professional editor.
I’m just curious why the Starship Operators’ Manual was listed as part of the Charted Space spine codes rather than the core rules spine-code line to follow the World Builders’ Handbook?
As in the title, really.
Any more information or feedback regarding how Pioneer is progressing? Are we looking like doing crowdfunding or will it be scheduled as a potential publication soon?
Any update on the playtest material or information about issues/thoughts being considered?
This is truly appreciated.
Also, if you are doing this can you either leave the files unlocked for editing or insert a blank page immediately after the cover page? This ensures that the page alignment is correct on a 2-page spread.
I can confirm the file now works fine on my Mac and other Apple devices. Thank you - it is appreciated and it looks good.
The landscape design reminds me of the republished Classic Traveller books from the early 2000s. Y’know, if you have the rights to the PDFs it could be something of a series...
To quickly confirm, the file’s visual and other problems are very much apparent on my Mac.
Please could you notify when the files have been updated?
Ta.
EDIT: And also just to say that my account has gone into another stupid loop phase where it asks if I am a robot and tells me my password is...
Honestly, I think we should be done with updates for a while. Vehicles is a candidate but if it isn’t even started yet, I think there are more important projects. Save the next update for the 50th anniversary (in 2027).
It is only three years away.
Well, I don’t think either are really the genre they are going for in Pioneer. You could hypothetically fit them in but you’d be leaving the premise of the game behind, somewhat.
I was think more of tying it to the notion of paradigm like as in Mage: The Ascension or Unknown Armies, although I accept the concerns over mental health stigmatising. I would say, however, that unlike high intelligence, Psionics are not real.
So, was under the impression that Brave New Missions would be available for a PDF release and physical pre-order in November.
Can we confirm that this was November 2023 and not 2024?
Thanks! :)
Sigh. And no news on Traveller: Prime Directive either.
EDIT: I looked at the Edge site and it appears that, while they obviously have the license, they still aren’t actually releasing much new material for it. What about trying to get a very specific licence - like Traveller: Rogue One?
OK, here is a left field suggestion for a new licensed setting......Star Wars!
It would certainly cause a splash and I’m not sure that FFG is doing anything with RPGs anymore. The were some unofficial Traveller: Star Wars rules floating about already and it can work as a game......so...
