    Returning from a Long Hiatus

Hi folks Just thought I would drop by and see how things are going around here. I have taken a long break from The internet and spent my time doing productive things, like working on various skills. Including my 3d modeling Work :) My ast real activity here was back at the introduction of the...

    Ship Design Philosophy

makes sense for small craft such as fighters. I know they have played around with the idea a few times IRL.

Effects of Ion Weapons in the 3I universe

It may have something to do with the power of the weapons in question. The Hoth Guns were not standard Shipboard Ion cannons they were purpose built Anti-ship planet defense batteries. Also the Effects are not the same as in Traveller. In Traveller they drain power..In StarWars they disable...

    Star Wars Gozanti-Class Cruiser

Alright, I haven't seen many episodes of either of the animated shows... so I am not familiar with the ships of those two series. 300-400 seems about right for the hull of the ship. I looked up the specs onit and it seems to be right around that tonnage based on its hull length

In theory, it could be te earliest for of the technology. not enough power to provide any real acceleration but works sufficiently to provide the sort of micro thrust needed to keep a ship in position.

I think they use flywheels for some control systems in satellites, instead of attitude thrusters.

Ship's Locker: Out of the Closet

I have been playing with the idea of using quirks to lower the price. Especially since some of the designs I cooked up for very short range personal transports. As written end up having the range to go cross country and speeds approaching those of a Jet airliner. Some disadvantages on systems do...

lightweight non-gravity hull: Stateroom: Reactor and fuel...of course, you could cheat and buy a portable fusion reactor from Central Supply.... No bridge is needed, but you do need a basic computer system.

    Ship Design Philosophy

I built a batch of utility modules for "Ships of Gold" you can do this for quarters, workshops, even hanger space with repair and spare parts storage. It would also be very useful for quick building a colony or facility like a mining outpost where the buildings would need to be...

    Ship Design Philosophy

It could work, keeping the seals pressure tight might be a bit tricky. It would definitely work for structures that have to deal with contaminated, or toxic air. put high volume blowers in the sections that seal, extract any contaminated air and blow in filtered air.

    Art: light Grav Fighters

Worked up these to a while back, went back and retouched and added some details and interiors these are light grav fighters, supersonic the first one is a low-tech low-cost version with just barely supersonic capability, twin autocannons, and hardpoints for wing mounted ordnance. Its primary...

Ship's Locker: Out of the Closet

I've seen this one test field a few times. It's an interesting idea but the review seems to be unfavorable. the added complexity of the internals and the added weight make it heavier and more expensive than two shotguns. One of the biggest problems is that you can only fire the barrels in a back...

    Sample Art: Industrial vehicles

Thanks.I can't claim to have that much talent....just a lot of time to practice. It takes anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days to get a usable model. After I have the base model down I can alter and rework the base design into multiple forms. That takes a few hours and a lot of trial...

I wouldn't be against that idea :D I ran loaders forklifts etc.. for a few years, those things get banged u so bad its not funny. then there is oil, leaks, splashes, etc... if yer loader is pretty look out they just got it back from a rebuild...or they pressure washed. I literally had the...
