Oops, that's what I get for apparently skipping a page when I read. OK, so a ships jamming range is 2,500 miles. This means 2,640 'squares' in range on a space map. Basically, if you can shoot someone then you can 'jam' them. There is a little bit of a fudgy part in the writing though. It sta...

Actually, I have not seen any rules for jamming someone's transmissions. The closest thing to it is the anti-bugging device that's listed in the book. As for jamming in space, it would not surprise me if they left it out because you're not allowed to 'jam' another ship's transmissions. Realistically...

It sounds right on. I don't think that you missed anything that was shown in PoD so there's nothing I can really use as evidence that your chain of thought here is wrong.

I think this is where are idea of hyperspace seperates. I operate under the understanding that even well travelled routes are still hazardous. Though the chances of something happing under normal conditions are very small. Besides, I have heard mention of some sort of 'storms' that occur in hyperspa...

I don't agree that you should just be able to use the acceleration score in this formula. What happens if your sensors pick up a dangerous gravity wave and you're not able to slow down in time. Critical Damage, lost ship, who knows. I would say that you either add the acceleration and deceleration o...

Considering that Vorlons are linked to their ships telepathically, you're more than welcome to try. However, all Vorlons are P-15, so any teep that tries might very well have his brain melted out his ear.

Hyperion Particle Beams

I have some confusion over the firing arc of the Tri-Linked Fusion Beams on the Hyperion series of ships. You have them listed as Boresighted, but the show depicts them as turret mounted, as does the Ship Design Sheets from the Babylon 5 Wars game. I know that this does not mean it is right, but mos...

Omega Destroyer-Gamma

Should the Twin-Linked Heavy Pulse Array actually be a threshold of 20 on the Omega Destroyer-Gamma? The Twin-Linked Heavy Pulse Cannons on the Omega Destroyer-Beta have a Threshold of 19-20. Is this difference intentional or was it an oversight? If it was intentional then I am curious as to why the...

Pilots vs Ships-Error?

Here’s a long one concerning the statistics of quite a few vessels, specifically dealing with the number of pilots on board versus the number of fighter/shuttles on board. Tethys Frigate-Theta: 4 pilots for the ship, 2 shuttles, and 6 armed shuttles Hermes Priority Transport: 6 pilots for the ship, ...

Linked Weapon Damages-Error?

OK, so what’s up with the twin linked weaponry on some vehicles? In several cases it seems that the damage changes by the number of weapons linked into the system. The EA Badger does 4d8 with its Twin-Linked UniPulse Cannons while its tail UniPulse Cannon does only 2d8. Another example is the Minbar...

Slavery in B5 Universe I posted a message on the Centauri thread about a slave race under the Centauri. See Below:.... Considering that the Drakh (who were the major hand-servants of the Shadows) blamed the Earth for the loss of their masters so badly that they put into action a plan to kill the entire world I find it a bit unlikely that Shadow servants did much to help EF overall much. The whole point of the Drakh...

White Star Targeting System

In the series you often see the Gunners on the White Stars with visors attached to their heads. My thought was that this was some form of nifty targeting system. The Minbari Fact Book mentions a certain technology called the Trioptic Visor. This little device has some very interesting properties con...

My guess is that the former allies of the Shadows were the ones giving Clark the tech and might have been passing on the BIG toys instead of the little ones in order to get revenge on Sheridan and the others who made the Shadows leave. This is a good thought; I haven't considered it before, but it ...

Well, thank you. I think the worst thing I did to a group was similar to what happened to Garibaldi. I hit one of my players with something truly wicked that he didnt' see coming. Told him how much damage it did, which happened to be enough to kill him. Told my players to roll initiative for the nex...
