It's my first wedding anniversery today and I'm spending part of it typing on a forum about Monkey Magic. This may be an all-time low in geek-dom. Wife just told me she loves me anyway. :D

Quote "Is it really necessary to go back to the Vorlon homeworld (why does it never get named?) to create a Vorlon Servant?"

Why don't we call it "Kosh". After all, they are all Kosh.

WotC got stung by their Chainmail miniature line. Then they saw that Wizkids was making money hand over fist with Mage Knight. They put two and two together and got five. Now we get prepainted, bent-up miniatures that appeal to collectors with more money that sense. I know what that's like. I used t...

That was an excellant rant and I see no reason for apology. My cracks about Crusade weren't meant to be taken seriously. I love the writing of JMS. If he works on a project then I will go look for it. I've never thought he was anything less that a genius.

I know. I would have enjoyed the show if it had been given the chance. I just can't get over the similarities between Crusade and Star Blazers. (Never saw Space Cruiser Yamato) A threat to the Earth so one ship is sent out to get the cure. The ship has this amazing weapon that will destroy just abou...

If you want to know how the series ends, you could always rent Star Blazers.

(Sorry, I can't watch the show without hearing the Star Blazers theme music. "Hurry Earthforce, The Earth only has 4 years 246 days.")

I really wanted to like the rules. I really did. But unless your players learn the rules, be prepared to teach them every little detail. It's a pain.

I thought I read somewhere that a fighter scale space combat system was in the works from Mongoose. Let's hope.

Most of us Americans can't tell the differance between the regional accents within our own country. I'm from the midwest but I spent my formative years in Louisville, Kentuky. My accent confuses even me.

Lizard said...
"Remember, in the US, *anything* British is considered to be high class."

That's not true... Wait, That is true. Curse my inferiority. Must learn some class.

(You know, this entire conversation would annoy both the Vorlon and the Shadows.)

Time to bump the monkey? You do know there are laws against that in most countries?

Sorry for the intrusion. Resume thy nefarious works.

How to annoy a shadow? In a gravely voice, you say "Who knows what evil lurks within the hearts of men" pause "Well, actually that's more the work of the Vorlons so I guess you won't be needed today. Sorry about the mix up. Call me, We'll do lunch. Ta." Don't forget the "Ta", they hate that yuppy st...

It's a new day and I'm done sulking. Besides, the discussion about the B5 skirmish game has me all excited. The possibilities for this kind of game are endless. I really hope that this one comes true.

How to annoy a Shadow?
Tell him you loved his work in that Starship Troopers movie.
(I'm going to suffer for that one, I just know it.)

My campaign started on Ragesh III two days before the Narn attack. Then I had the players stuck on Babylon 5 for a few months waiting for their ship to come get them. Now they are on Nochtal dealing with small brush wars of the local inhabitants. It is now June 2259 and they have been on planet for ...

Instead of giving the characters levels for each year, you could give them experiance points for each year. That's what the Traveller T20 rules did for previous experiance.

I just checked my stash and it turns out that ShadowScout listed all the ones that I have, and one that I don't have. I completely missed the last box. That's no big deal. It just had the G"KAR IN HIS UNIFORM, and the DELENN AS A MINBARI and the REAL KOSH. Grumble, grumble, grumble. I don't even kno...

This is a hard choice. It's between the Hyperion and the Omega because all the others don't have the style. The Hyperion is a lovely design that speaks volumes about efficiency of engineering. The omega looks like a real badass and it delivers when seen on screen. The real deciding factor is gravity...
