SST wasn't very well known in my old neighborhood, and I just started to dabble in this game to discover all the challenges of collecting and readying the figs but I do like the game a lot so I'm really hoping things will pick up by summer ...

Shouldn't there be a way, maybe with those big Tunneling bugs, to make a cave-in during a game ? And wouldn't any wheeled or tracked ground vehicles, stuff without jump-jets, be especially vulnerable to cave-ins ?

I've never played in an SST tournament so on re-reading the rules carefully for the effects of cover I wonder if I'm a victim of English-English vs. American-English or simply stubborn ... Do the various point modifiers for cover effect the Target roll made by the attacker, or the save roll made by ...

It's a lot simpler to re-do the RPG, those ranges are foolish and utterly contrary to the spirit of the Novel - the real/best source. I'll remind the managers of my LGS & locations where I'm demo'ing SST but I know already (at two out of four) that they're a little underwhelmed/unimpressed of late ... telling them wait til summer doesn't seem like a strong gambit ... suggestions ?

Not impressed by Evo - I like the original SST, albeit there are some tweaks I prefer.

The event went well, SST following is small but growing, played a "seize and hold" scenario twice, Bugs won both times - check out forums at www.thegamematrix.com for more details. Maybe next year the company can give us some support.

I'm new and have only played a few games with a couple of opponents but obviously if Tunneling is little used then it must be too weak or too high priced, either way due for a tune-up. Tunneling is certainly part of the canon, novel and film.
