Funny this should be mentioned - we are giving serious thought to doing pretty much this for the Free Trader...

Re: Mongoose Traveller - The New and current updated edition. What do you expect from this new line?

A collated Third Imperium aliens book could be interesting (so long as you would also be happy with the 160+ page books expanding on a single race, as I think others would want them). On a similar note, we are making sure our sector books feature more (and playable!) minor alien races.

Which book can I find this ship in? Bonus points if you can get me a link.
Not released yet, but you'll see it on Drivethru before Christmas (look out for the Great Rift).

Re: Low tech ships - Need help

We did a TL7 ship for the Great Rift (which, as a referee, you just have to get your players on!). For sensors, I will be recommending they look out of the windows...

Variable power gauss weapons? I like that, might have to investigate it for a future adventure or supplement :)

Re: Traveller V2 Vehicle Combat ????

Sorry? Any movement and attack action needs the absolute range to resolve, hence we need to keep track of speed and range in metres? Remember that you do not need to be metre perfect any more, as range is broken down into categories (short, long, extreme). You _can_ get into complex situations (12 ...

Re: Traveller V2 Vehicle Combat ????

And what about movement - as vehicle movement is based on km/h how does that relate to 6 second rounds? Do I have to recalculate all the speeds for rounds by dividing by 0.6 to get movement rates in metres per round? Because that is very fiddly and a bit daft. Yes, I do not see any way around it. U...

It won't be the Companion (too much else to go into it!), but a compilation of the Briefings is a possibility.

Re: Mongoose Traveller - The New and current updated edition. What do you expect from this new line?

But its a real shame you can see inside them online much - so I am sure what I am buying - as they are rather expensive and cant look at them in shops .... That is something we can look at - in the short term, our ebooks on Drivethru always have a few pages previewed... I would like to see the area...

Mongoose News - New UK Event for Female Gamers

NEW EVENT FOR FEMALE GAMERS Recent events in the tabletop gaming hobby have made many of us aware that it is all too easy for an atmosphere to develop around gaming events that is uncomfortable for or even hostile to female gamers. In light of this, and after discussions with Mongoose Publishing's m...

Re: Pirates of Drinax: GM questions

It is also worth pointing out that this really is a sandbox campaign - your players can end up doing anything they want, however they want to do it. They might start dividing systems up, preying on some while boosting others (and using them as safe bases). They might decide to turn against Drinax an...

We have started putting the classic 1st and 2nd edition Paranoia books on Drivethru - all those great adventures and supplements that made Paranoia what it is, just the way you remember them! This is quite a lengthy process as we have to jig around with PDFs and scans, but you will see the range gre...
