I'm excited! Any ETA on preorders to New Zealand?
In a mail sack right now, just waiting for Postie to arrive (will be leaving in about an hour!).

Re: Traveller V2 Vehicle Combat ????

Sorry? Any movement and attack action needs the absolute range to resolve, hence we need to keep track of speed and range in metres? Remember that you do not need to be metre perfect any more, as range is broken down into categories (short, long, extreme). You _can_ get into complex situations (12 ...

Re: Traveller V2 Vehicle Combat ????

And what about movement - as vehicle movement is based on km/h how does that relate to 6 second rounds? Do I have to recalculate all the speeds for rounds by dividing by 0.6 to get movement rates in metres per round? Because that is very fiddly and a bit daft. Yes, I do not see any way around it. U...

It won't be the Companion (too much else to go into it!), but a compilation of the Briefings is a possibility.

Re: Mongoose Traveller - The New and current updated edition. What do you expect from this new line?

But its a real shame you can see inside them online much - so I am sure what I am buying - as they are rather expensive and cant look at them in shops .... That is something we can look at - in the short term, our ebooks on Drivethru always have a few pages previewed... I would like to see the area...

Mongoose News - New UK Event for Female Gamers

NEW EVENT FOR FEMALE GAMERS Recent events in the tabletop gaming hobby have made many of us aware that it is all too easy for an atmosphere to develop around gaming events that is uncomfortable for or even hostile to female gamers. In light of this, and after discussions with Mongoose Publishing's m...

Re: Pirates of Drinax: GM questions

It is also worth pointing out that this really is a sandbox campaign - your players can end up doing anything they want, however they want to do it. They might start dividing systems up, preying on some while boosting others (and using them as safe bases). They might decide to turn against Drinax an...

Re: Classic Paranoia Returns!

We have started putting the classic 1st and 2nd edition Paranoia books on Drivethru - all those great adventures and supplements that made Paranoia what it is, just the way you remember them! This is quite a lengthy process as we have to jig around with PDFs and scans, but you will see the range gre...

Re: Mongoose Traveller - The New and current updated edition. What do you expect from this new line?

A few comments on some of these... 1. The aliens are in hand, but we are going to do them 'properly'. The Aslan make their appearance in The Pirates of Drinax, and we are looking at doing something similar for the others. 3. This is being looked at right now... 4. We do our best :) 6. I think most o...

Classic Paranoia Returns!

Good afternoon, Citizens! Just the briefest of updates today. Implausible Deniability is getting the last polishing right now (will keep you updated on that) but we have a little bit of news that may be of interest: Some of you may recall previous editions of Paranoia - well, these titles are now av...

Re: Subsidised Merchant: docking space or docking clamp?

Just to weigh in here (and this only applies to the current edition, YMMV on others). I get where you are coming from with the external positioning of the Launch on the 3D picture of the Subbie (page 184 of the Core book), but here's the thing... That is not the Launch you are looking at but its hou...
