A fine resource -- it's good to have dates and worlds I can refer to in 'offhand' announcements at the local spaceport as the Judges get down to body-cavity searches on new arrivals.

Seriously, this is very handy since I no longer have most of my 2000AD collection. Keep it up, Shokker!

[* - note: in some billions of years, the moon will be farther from earth and the center of gravity will lie outside the earth (also, more commonly the accepted definition of a double-planet system ;)).][/quote] If I'm around then, I'll take some pictures... :) This reminds me of the BBC series a fe...

As has been pointed out... they don't provide sideways movement, just up and down. Mind you, if they had a battery operated fan... all bets are off. I've always viewed them as a high-tech stepladder myself. The best depiction is in Star Trek The Motion Picture , when Admiral Kirk arrives on the Ent...

Thanks, havercake. This gives me a starting point for a plot I have in mind regarding a TC corporation's "hostile takeover" tactics -- and I want to imply that said company has high-level help in the TC Judge force.

How much anyone want to bet this gets canned for the same reasons, AFTER billions of government funds are sunk into it and several CEOs are stinking richer... Come on, how often does that happen? Reminds me of the recent decision to scrap the Royal Navy's carrier-based strike aircraft... but...

Texas City question

How corrupt are the Judges of Texas City? How far does the rot spread? Preacher Cain was from TC, and he came in for heavy trouble from the ‘Deputy Chief Judge’s office’. I’ve lost (or given away) most of my 2000AD/ Megazine collection, so I can’t quite remember the details. For example, when Joe Dr...

If you haven't yet seen it, I'd recommend the movie Pandorum . It's a lot like your initial premise -- evacuation and 'nuking the site from orbit' isn't an option! For that matter, locate the stricken ship off the main shipping routes. A D or E class system would do fine, especially if it ...

Sounds like a bad case of "show up, sit down, listen to the GM... roll some dice if you must, but don't - don't - do anything to upset the 'finely crafted' plot." Well it has to be. In order to make sure everyone has the same general experience (which is one of their goals) a Living campaign...

My old CT Traders & Gunboats states that a deckplan design "is valid" if it comes in at -- I'm not making this up -- 10 to 20 percent plus or minus the total deckplan squares given by the base tonnage! Still, this is from the people who didn't notice the Tardis effect of their 3-deck Type S ...

Before she was Chief Judge, Hershey put personal time into working out in a civilian gym and also visiting her orphaned nephew. Dredd and Rico have found (limited) time to pay social calls on Vienna Pasternak. And wasn't Dredd awkward in a social setting? He keeps going into "menacing mode" wheneve...

I had totally forgotten about The Accused, was so long ago that I wrote it and I had forgotten that it had actually been in S&P. My computer that I could use when running Traveller games doesn't even have a CD/DVD drive :)
The machine I used back in the day had the luxury of a second 5.25" floppy disk drive! (This was almost on the level of having a HAL-9000 to hand)
