Halo - what could have been..?
Just looked at the halo wars demo, and was thinking mongoose Evo system was prefect for this, great shame wizkids destroyed it all.. :-( Think about the plastic box sets of troops and colourful paint jobs, and add tanks and walkers and aircraft.. well that would have been a site to see and a winner ...

The "Save" i talked about was not for the shields stopping the bullet, but hard to hit the person behind the shield, if you aimed at the center of the shield and he was alittle to the left the bullet would go passed... Hi Rick, pleased i started this post, and i have plans to watch zulu at the weekend... i was also watching alittle of sharpe last night too... Kill a key amount and the rest will run away etc.... like losing the main gun, or track damage etc..?

Since we don`t have a skill for shooting as such, but more of a save roll, i guess troops with better training should have a 6 save, and elites a +1 more when in cover.. poor troops have no save, and unskilled should have a cover drop of a -1, since they have no training in combat... Also poor or un...

With mortars, you can have a line of site rule with the firing team, or somebody with a radio calling it down, or just picking a point on the map and keep firing... Since you and you the enemy player both roll dice to see where it lands, mix them around to get the right feel IE/ d10/d10 d10/d6 / 2d1...
