The minis were quite nice, especially the later ones (after theri sculptors got the hang of it). And the mixed package wasn't that bad either - most of the "generic" minis would be actually better for a RPG - how often do you meet Ivanova or Kosh anyway; while a "generic" trader, drazi or security ...

Dunno about "Shadow Dancing", but it was only Two Shadows that went to tear apart Kosh in "Interludes & Examinations". Watch the scene - Morden opens the door to Kosh's quarters, Kosh looks at him, two Shadows appear and go for the Vorlon Misremembered the episode title this happened in - doh! Howe...

Though most of the covers still are really great, as they continued to get CGI guys to make them meshes of AoG-designed ships... just not so many any more... Though of course, most of the later (FA sized) miniatures were all mastered from CG meshes :) Of course, for ship views nothing beats a well-...

Not so - It's "Lennier" in german too. "ie" is a completely different sound from "ei" in german - "ie" is spoken as a long "i" sound, like in "Lenn ie r", while "ei" is more of a short, "e-i" sound, like in " I reland". I've got to admit I remembering back to my O-Level German some 20 odd years ago...

Re: Sigh...

No, I am not a native German speaker. Last time I checked, I was an American (some would say depressingly so). I am dyslexic, but I make no apologies for it. Now, to the concerns that have been raised: Bang goes that theory :) No worries then. The Lennier thing was a simple ie-ei thing, which we al...

I'd hazard a guess that August Hahn is a native german speaker (I don't know any better, and please correct me if I'm wrong) which might explain some of the "mistakes". For the pronounication of "Lennier" the spelling "Lenneir" would in fact be correct in German and may well have been the version ad...

You're wrong on that one. There's FOUR of them in "Shadow Dancing". Two on one was a "no score draw" in the incident in season one.

Re: Poll

I know that 2000ad has a far lower readership than in 1985. But a large chunk of them are the same though, and now they're older with more money :) If you discount the old Citadel miniatures, Mongoose have produced a hell of a lot more than GW did for their game (plus they've got nearly another 20 ...

Point of note: Something is only tarnished if you allow it to be. That's the wonderful thing about reaving material for gaming ideas. You can decide to dismiss all of the context around a subject and use only what you wish. Legend of the Rangers had its problems (I am not sure where the hand-to-han...

Depends... But she can't be "just an EMP projector" without the ability to manipulate subatomic particles, not without technical help, which she didn't have. Remember we're in the very dodgy realms of telekenesis and reality here... The way I see it, the difference between those levels is a kind of...

Re: What I'd Like to See

Besides, I don't buy that they can out-shadow the shadows for a second. Remember that Legend of the Rangers takes place before Crusade, yet in Crusade their major enemies were the drakh. My guess is that The Hand was just some upstart group of punks who were trying to gain power through fear... tha...

And what the hell would you call that if not TK? It makes little difference if you move great whole chunks of matter, or just a couple of single electrons - it's still moving stuff with your mind. Er, nope. Think of her as an EMP projector :) Direct manipulation/observation of atomic and below size...

That's what made me peg her as P15 in the first place - she actually managed to read a Vorlon's mind... sure, Unkesh didn't expect it, otherwise she probably wouldn't have been able to/quote] Mind you, going by her stats in the book, that kind of thing is her speciality so she probably got past on ...

The enhanced Lyta will probably also be a P15 I'd peg here at 13 or 14, Ulkesh found no problem stopping Lyta's probe - after all, she was created by the Vorlon's. Most of her power comes from experience and the nifty new feats she got to develop :) As for the not-so-ancient races... I'd assume P12...

...some other smaller ships (frigates and the like) could had been destroyed in larger numbers... ...which is why according to AoG-B5W fluff the Minbari left those at home, mostly. And that's why we only see Sharlins in the EA/Minbari war... really, it has nothing to do with a small B5 CGI budget.....

I'd say that Gropos are possible. My impression is that things were so stretched that all sorts of people could find themselves filling roles they wouldn't normally. EarthForce put everything they had left into the air and if there weren't enough navy types available to crew them all, then ground p...

Of course, giving someone the line medal leads to all sorts of trouble (they've got to be twenty-eight+ at show start, few levels, including probably at least one of officer etc...) Age would be 31+ I think (2247 (Battle of the Line), 18 to join Earth Force and then 3 years for flight school and OC...

Well, there's Sinclair's "Survivor of the Battle of the Line" medal thing (which would presumably have a ribbon).
