I hated these models, but you have made them look great. All power to your brush.

Re: ACTA SF

I explained my view poorly previously. Regular readers won't be surprised to read that  Are we playing a game or a simulation? IMHO ACTA is more game, whilst SFB is more simulation, but neither can ever be perfect, as both can only ever be an approximation. Models should reflect decisions m...

Re: ACTA SF

Don't get me wrong, I'm loving seeing some pics before I get models in my hands. I've even commented on some of them (on Facebook rather than the other forums) My two issues are: Minsicule detail changes are being asked for, as if the models are being designed by reference to the rules, when it is t...

Re: ACTA: Noble Armada US tournament

Wrong side of the pond for me but, to be honest, any hope of my getting into NA vanished when ACTA:SF was announced.

Between SF and X-Wing, my starship needs are now fulfilled.

Re: Fleet compostion Question.

Depends on the tournament organiser, but if it was my event the answer would be no. People need to be clear on what they are facing across the table, without needing to have it explained to them all the time. It only takes one failure of understanding to end up with cries of cheat. Better safe than ...

Re: ACTA SF

I do hope we aren't going to go through this with every single model. I can't help thinking that we are being shown too much. Getting feedback is all good, but doing it in this public a way doesn't work well, in my experience. The vocal minority shout loudly and changes happen. Not neccessarily the ...

Any news on fleet box contents and pricing?

I wants me some sneaky Roms.

I'll be preordering the book, but I'd like to do it with the ships, so everything arrives at once.

Re: Exploding issue..

VPs in multiplayer games get complicated if more than one player helped take down a ship. Who gets them, the one who finshed the target off, which leads to cries of kill stealing? Renegade Legion: Interceptor, which had an experience system based on kills for each fighter, split the kill between up ...

I can't help asking. Why are Mongoose being so tight lipped when ADB are being so open with the designs?

ADB's Facebook page is showing us lots of pretty pictures. The War Eagle with the eagle sculpted into the underside makes me very happy.

Re: Mongoose Project Status

Funnily, I have just been given a box full of Renegade Legion stuff. Full of crunch, but the fluff is awesome. Mongoose couldn't support all its elements without significant investment, I suspect. BTW Palladium still have the Robotech licence. Maybe R=Riot, ie, Block Wars for Judge Dredd. With the m...

I got into it just before Mongoose lost the licence. Shame, or I would have bought into the real troopers, which looked an awful lot like the HS2 Holocaust Judges IIRC

Re: Starship troopers rumours

I popped in to see if anyone had any ideas abouit bring Starship Troopers to Traveller, and we end up in politics. The old Mongoose stuff for Starship Troopers was based much more heavily on the cartoon than either the movies or the book, IIRC. It was much less strident about the politics than eithe...
