That's about what I thought but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Many thanks!

Traveller NPCs

I'm working on a Traveller product and I'm looking for guidelines for creating NPCs. More specifically, is there a standard method for making them that is easier than going through the careers and making the same choices and checks that you would have to make to create a full-on player character, or...

I'm sure people have their books by now, but I now have a copy sitting in front of me. I've been a huge Babylon 5 fan, ever since I caught the first airing of Midnight on the Firing Line back in 93, I think it was. When the Babylon Project came out, I bought it, but was disappointed. I wasn't crazy ...

Oh what I would give for someone to give us the resolution to Crusade. Sure, we know the Excalibur succeeded, but we know this from the first episode of the show. I want a book, a movie, or a comic book that at least finishes it off, or better yet, continues it.

Of course I was talking to the Morden "character" above. As for you, at least you didn't get nuked and then have your head severed and stuck on a sharp stick. Just maybe good things are in your future. :D Yes, Morden did meet with an unfortunate ending. He was still one of the most compellin...

Morden, aren't you dead? I think that you have lost your head, Sir. I certainly thought I was after my B5 novel was canceled. Oh well, it's probably for the best that I was running behind on my deadline. Still, a heck of an opportunity missed. It kind of turned me off to B5 for a while, but I'm hap...

In my mind B5 and Sheridan were linked on a level that transcends simple cause and effect. Galen even describes Sheridan as a nexus. When Sheridan was at B5, it was there that the major events of the galaxy occurred. When Sheridan left, it became far less important to the galaxy as a whole. When he ...

I've been collecting these books since the B5 RPG line came out, and I have yet to run a game. I've wanted to, I've written articles for Signs and Portents, but it's hard finding the time. That said, I do plan to at some point in the hopefully near future, so I'm more than happy to chime in with wha...

It was a real disappointment to me when this didn't work out since I was just getting started with the actual writing when I caught word that the project was dead. While I regret not getting to play in this playground, I do respect JMS's creative sovereignty, and wish him well with the future of B5,...

Re: A sad day for me...

Last friday was a very sad day for me as a B5 fan. I watched Legend of the Rangers and despite some little things, I liked it a lot and when it ended I wondered what could have followed. And then I became sad because I realised I had just seen the last B5 footage that I hadn't seen. Five B5 seasons...

Anyone Interested in a B5 PBP?

I'm looking for a couple players for a B5 PBP game. This will take place on a different forum, and the timeline will be the same era as Crusade. Interested parties, feel free to send me a private message or ask questions here.

My games are all Drakh Plague and later. I want my characters' actions to be front and center, rather than have them be in the background while the main story arc is decided by the TV show characters.

If they weren't moving forward with the novel line, they wouldn't have just sent me a contract for the novel we've been discussing for the past few months.

You know, it's pretty rare for a business owner to bother responding to someone who comes to their board or place of business with the express purpose of stirring up drama and causing trouble. The typical response would be to bounce you out and not dignify your baseless attacks with a response. Omah...

I believe WB doesn't own all the rights, JMS owns the rights for feature films. Glen A. Larson still owns the rights to Battlestar Galactica feature films. That still didn't stop Richard Hatch from publishing several novels set in the BSG universe, or the new series from being made. Based on the th...

The problem is that jms has always been open to answering questions from fans, and is accessible. He wasn't the one who dragged this out into the open, he was asked some pretty direct questions on an open forum. Believe me, I appreciate this, but the proper professional way to handle this is that i...

That timeline can't be "wrapped up" by anyone who doesn't know what was coming, and the only person who knows what was coming is me. See, this is the portion of the statement that I find troubling. What he's attempting to say is that the only person who can write anything in the Babylon 5 universe ...

As someone who is starting a B5 novel as we speak, it saddens me that JMS is unwilling to work with Mongoose on this. That said, based on what I've seen, Mongoose has done an excellent (and quite reverent) job running the universe in his absence. WB owns the rights to it, so it's really up to them t...
