Re: 2300AD on Pre-Order
The problem was, the version of Earth presented in the Earth/Cybertech Sourcebook was a pretty nice place, not cyberpunk-y/Bladerunner-y at all. Thus the cyberpunk bits seemed tacked-on and ill-thought out. I have the luxury of designing the Core from the start, and while it ain't cyberpunk (the '8...

Re: 2300AD on Pre-Order
Glad to hear that is not the final cover. Hostile environments are the order of the day. Even worlds that are Earth-like eg Aurore would have to be quite alien. It is not so much that 2300AD militaristic (although a permanent state of war does exist on French Arm) - it is that the frontier is danger...

How can I get into contact with him. As I would love to hash out some ideas that I have for Solomani before they reach final print.

Re: Bibliography and Filmography for 2300AD
Blade Runner is Earth of 2300AD and maybe Tiranne. But, the colonies are wide open spaces either garden worlds like Firefly (otherwise, any type of environment from Hoth to Tatoonie to Water World to something that resembles Southern California/Germany) to mining worlds like Outland (hostle environm...

Lots of suggestions for Zhodani Campaigns contained within the AM. The easiest one to do is the frontier model - in which Core Expeditions would be akin to Star Trek. In fact, the whole Star Trek would offer an excellent backdrop to any Zhodani campaign. The only thing that one would have to change ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWWJCY_vlos Yes, I know it is Star Wars but I would love it if we could substitute the Stormtroopers with Imperial Marines. The music lends itself to Traveller and the images are partially MTU. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKWr3XuyGcQ&feature=related http://www.youtu...

How many posts before we get a picture...anyhow, I agree with all of you...but in 41st century - Sic semper tyrannis is thoroughly corrupted. But, if you want to include any of the other mottos on your logo - fine. As far as it makes sense, it actually, does, as it is the crest of a knight who belie...

Sic semper tyrannis
Does anyone have a cool image that can be tied back to the Third Imperium that features this slogan - Sic semper tyrannis (death to tyrants). It could be a sword and the Imperial Sunburst or whatever. And, if have it can they share it. Thanks. As I need the image for a Con game in August.

Cthulhutech...is very Traveller for me, sans the Mecha...although YTUMV. A good Combat Armour ought to be able to down a Mecha...and if T5 is any indicator the two merge. One could always also ask James Maliszewski what he used the Answerin played in his campaign. I think he was thinking of a super-soldier without conscious or remorse just a relentless fighting machine...until someone pulled the plug - when they experienced fear for the first time. Or he could have t...

BITS has a supplement 101 Religions which would give you 100 plus one plot points. The Man Who Would Be God in the TNE mainbook is a standard retelling of the Cargo cult status. Beyond the Open Door, while not OTU, has a rather nasty cult in in it. But, in terms of retelling, why not do the Odyssey ...

Too many good choices. But, I still choice Foundation, just because one can go back to the Robots era and forward to Galaxia. Plus, there is a movie coming out. A very well written supplement that would incorporate the novels will do better than one that just apes the movie - but the movie will prov...

I once had a manuscript for the Ancient times but it got fried in a Hard Drive fire. If I ever find time again, I might put a few words together for S&P or Freelance Traveller article. The Secret (pardon the pun) of Antiquity is to understand the plurality of civilization. If each Ancient individual...
