Non sorcerer scholar/thief feats

What kind of feats would you allow a thief character who is taking scholar levels, to make up for the new sorcery styles? (won't take any sorcery styles) Would you only allow those in the class description given his background as a thief? Skill focus are good, of which I would take bluff, and probab...

SableWyvern, what feat or feats are you thinking of? What further drawbacks? I understand as you say that this has the popential to be very potent. I am not given to power gaming, but am interested in the role playing possibilities of this.

Does anyone have rules for nets in combat?

The chance to sneak attack someone once is good enough for a thief, but I was thinking about the chance to get as many sneak attacks as you can, after all this is what happens when you are flanking someone, with the added detriment to him that he has an aditional oponent. So, the trick seems to be t...

what do you mean by:
not without the expenditure of a feat,
per the blind-fight feat:
Normal: regular attack roll modifiers for invisible attackers trying to hit you apply, and you loose your dexterity bonus to dv.

True enough, but a development like hitting a critical with the cape could open more possibilities to the thief, who after all is taking a harsh penalty for improvising a weapon. Given their relatively not so good attack bonuses, he could be better off trying to pull out a feint. Besides, a thief th...

Blinding with a cape, then sneak attacking

I was thinking about this: if a thief character wants to throw his cape at an oponent's face to blind him, then sneak attack, how would you treat this? What I thought was to allow him to make an attack roll with a -4 penalty for using the cape as an improvised weapon, which won't do any damage. Then...

Thief special abilities

Is there a source where one can find new special abilities for thieves? Has any one come up with their own?

Thanks for the input. The hoarding and gathering mentality is deeply set in our group, coming from a DnD background, so I have been thinking how to make up for the diminished value -relatively speaking- of treasure, or it's non existence, in the case of the magical kind. I belive that in Conan money...

Speaking of King Conan's feats in RoK, they missed one, but it is obvious they missed to list Power Attack. These first editions are known to have many errors. Something that comes to my atention, and that I like about King Conan's description, is the many feats (4- including Striking Cobra) that ar...

it seems to me that a scholar with oriental magic will eventualy become a very decent fighter, specially if he gains levels in the sorcerer of the scarlet circle. this of course diverges from the universal conception of the sorcerer as a weak combatant in melee, with an arsenal of spells to be cast ...

A 5th level argossean or zingaran pirate could attain this also, as well as an aquilonian, regardless of his combination of classes.

The cost of high living

Do you often apply the cost of high living rule? My players stole a great deal of silver pieces, and they are not spending it. Soon after they did, they went on to hide in the wilderness, because they were wanted men where they stole it any way. Their wanderings took them to other nation, where they...

Explosive Power

The Explosive Power feat benefit description says: As a full round action you may make a single melle attack using your highest BAB and utilizing Power Attack at your highest bonus. If the melle attack is successful, it is treated as a critical. What exactly does it mean to use highest Power attack ...
