Correct. Borese spend a good deal of the youth and adulthood serving Bor. By the time they are freed up to "adventure", they are older than most starting characters. That said, you can make a PC any age you wish; the chart is just a suggestion! :) -A That's what I thought. Being able to ask questio...

I just got the RPG yesterday, so haven't had time to go in depth, but I noticed that the Dwarf gunners starting age is 40 +3D6, while their middle age is 50. Are they really meant to start the game in their middle age (or close to it)?

The Vakeros will definitely be there. We'll probably see Cener druids as well. If you fish up the old thread, you'll see the trend, i.e. which 5-6 classes most people wanted to see (the book will allegedly feature 10 classes).

Re: Legends of Lone Wolf

I stumbled upon his site (http://hometown.aol.com/thogatthog/) where he is offering the novels in PDF format for sale. That's nice indeed. Project Aon has had a link to his page for a while already, but I haven't gotten around to ordering them yet. You can also get them on CD for a little more $$.

Thanks for the summary Ordovician, it's really appreciated. Amazon.ca now says the book ships in 6-8 weeks, instead of 1-3 months. Hopefully they'll get it before the end of the month!

I think I confused the Shianti with the Elder Magi. Maybe this has to do with how the Elder Magi's magic in the RPG is very similar to Grey Star's...

I believe that was an optional rule in AD&D 2nd ed.

That's fair enough, but surely there is some scope in the LW RPG for warriors/soldiers/rangers/aventures etc to be on equal footing with the Sommlending Knight or Telchos or especially the buccaneer? Well, the Darklands will detail a few Drakkar classes I believe, and the Border Rangers class will ...

There's something weird about the Shianti pre-Isle of Lorn. They seem to be sort of evil, or at least not as nice as they seem from the Grey Star books. Just look at the sort of stuff they left in Kalte and the Graveyard (if they were indeed the people who built it). Don't forget that they were at ...

[SPOILER] Grey Star mysteriously disappeared three months before the arrival of the Grand Master, and his kingdom is in deep troubles (riots, impending civil war, buccaneers, evil shamans, followers of Shasarak who are gaining more and more influence over the people... that sort of things). Also, t...

I knew about that newsletter, but it is heavily contradicted in "The Buccaneers of Shadaki". How so? I have not read the bOs; I would think it obvious you may not actually meet greystar, how is the newletter quote contradicted? Was someone else ruling shadaki at the time? Yes, I'd also like to know...

The miniatures look really nice - except the one with the warhammer. The weapon is just too large! I hope you won't develop that (GW-like) style further. You mean "Warhammer" style. GW's LOTR miniature game is all to scale, weapons, horses, everything basically (even the War Mumak! It's downright e...
