Colin if I make ask something, are you planning on reexamining the crew requirements for ships? It always struck me as overkill that civilian ships have the same crew requirements, at least on the bridge, as a military one. I would have to agree. One of my few issues with the original 2300AD were t...

I'm not an artist whatsoever, but did this with AutoRealm in a few minutes (if you don't find a true piece of art, it's very simple, cartoonish): Death to Tyrants This from Wiki: Sic semper tyrannis is a Latin phrase meaning "thus always to tyrants." It is sometimes mistranslated as "death to tyrant...

I'm interested in how this turns out for you. Through the years I've contemplated buying a projector for gaming, but could never get past the price. My hopes were to hang it above the dining room table from the ceiling fan and run a cord to my laptop. I would probably have to send my wife to a spa e...

Sure, if you still use the starport identifier to indicate quality rather than type. JFK starport would be a spaceplane starport, but so would Tanstaffl starport, and I bet they both wouldn't be C class starports in Traveller. By Colin's new starport codes, he has altered them to mean orbital trans...

How about: A: - Advanced or Alien (Pentapod bio-gas blimp lifters or Sung Skyhooks maybe) B: - Beanstalk C: - Catapult/Space plane - there would seem to be little logic in having a catapult but no space plane D: - Disposable E: - Exotic (Supergun, Laser lift etc) G But this could screw with other s...

A- Beanstalk B- Catapult C- Spaceplane D- Roton E- Disposable Rocket X- None ....<snip>....- ie you can't use a catapult to launch passengers (if you want them to survive), so you'd need a spaceplane or a rocket too. The upper codes include the lower codes as Colin stated above. So if you have a Ca...

There are multiple types of interface travel available in 2300AD. Starport code from the UWP is changed to reflect what type of commercially available interface travel the world has, not the capabilities of the port. Each successive letter code assumes that the other types mention are also availabl...

Re: Size of a Bridge
Though some have been modified some with the airlock and ship's locker space taking out of the bridge tonnage, or an enlarged common area. I do this (ship's locker, near-bridge airlock) in my deckplans also to make the bridge smaller. If it still seems too big, you could also do things such as putt...

Kinda stupid if this is what they have planned, it just lowers the immersion level. Please tell me this is not what they will be doing or that we will have the option of turning the "real world" off in the background. This is exactly what they mean: "See a virtual 3D world over-layed on the real wo...

I don't understand why this game uses Augmented Reality, it makes no sense in this context whatsoever. It's as if they had a brainstorming session and someone wrote 'AR!!!!1!!one!!11!" on the board so now it has it. I would have to greatly agree. I fear making this app AR will only sidetrack from m...

Oh crap, we've all been off topic. The title of this thread is, "Religon in the Traveller universe. Many paths".Sturn wrote:Can we stay on topic.....
Apparently we are supposed to be debating the presence of many sided polygons in Traveller.

Can we stay on topic before this erupts into yet another Atheist vs. Christian fight oft repeated on other forums? I've stopped visiting one of my favorite forums for this exact reason.. Where has Christianity been mentioned? No where. Note the "before" in my sentence. I've never seen these topics ...
