Re: Darrians Book Feedback and Question
In my copy, it's a standard 2d6 roll, modified by the DMs on the native Darrian table. The Aslan table is not culmulitive with the native darrian table and used for Aslans orginating from Darrian worlds of .7g or less.

Re: The Coffee Maker
The father of one of my exes was an electrician in the Navy. Fist time he was told to make coffee he failed miserably. He got told to never make it again. Now my grandfather on my mother's side was Navy and my grandfather on my father's side was a Marine. Considering that the Marines use the same co...

Re: The Coffee Maker
That'll run you a few billion MCr. We will need to bill you some of the R&D costs.
And even the rats here twitch. We think that some joker hardwired a coffee maker into an atomizer and directed the output into the central air trunk. Waste of good coffee, but a brilliant idea.

Re: Trade Gen V3
The map is stuck in the left-hand frame. With that happening I can't tell what else is going on. Also, put into place a better instruction set. For example: I'm assuming that I have to put the UWP and trade codes of every world in every subsector into the input box, but is there a paticular format f...

The Coffee Maker
The end result of my current obsession: Coffee Maker: Coffee, due to sheer force of tradition, is measured in Cups, which is used nowhere else. The only reason why it gets away with this is because it was wildly adopted wherever the Solomani went. In fact, the biggest consumers of coffee are the Imp...

Re: Hull question
Generic structure damage means you've lost power to the starboard hot-tub or the espresso machine. That's not a Generic hit! Hitting the coffee machine is as bad as hitting the fuel tanks or the engine! That's why I have an entire dTon dedicated to coffee making. Usually put in 4 or 5. *coughI'mjok...

Re: Hull question
IMTU, Self-Sealing only works against tiny hits, like the holes left by a micrometeorite. Low enough damage from a weapon might be sealable, but past a certain point the damage is too much and the decompression starts. Just keep in mind that the iris valves will automatically close if they sense vac...

I'd like to see you guys do your "Rule Bible", that one repository of all rules that you use internally to make sure that everything stays consistent. You don't need to publish it, but having that on hand for your writers is making everything flow much more smoothly.

No Darrian Glossary?
That was one thing that I really loved about Aslan and Vargr: They both had glossaries of various words from their native languages! I felt that they helped me gain a better feel for the language, which would/could help me make my invented words sound more "authentic". So, what happened to the gloss...

Re: The Great Traveller Clean-Up!
Every book that has had deckplans in it never gave us the mapping conventions (dTon size in squares, overhead space taken up by various systems and conduits, various other crunchy bits...) IIRC. You can get the main idea of my gripes: I really like crunchy bits in my deckplans and I want more spacec...

Re: Vehicle Dtonnage (for placement in ships)
You just really have to take a look at the size and configuration before extrapolating from there. Example: G/bikes are built on a 2m^3 cycle config. I would say that they're no more than .75-1.0 meters at the widest point. Call it a maximum of one. Length? 2, 2.5 meters. Let's say a maximum of 2.5....
