Anyone Playing Cybernet?
Just curious if anyone out there is playing CYBERNET? I know due to summer activities my group had to cut back on games played and cybernet didn't make the cut. However, I feel it will be back in the group this winter.

Remember the 'ol Stan Lee presents: The Savage Sword of Conan comics? I have some laying around about 30 or so. Seems to me that one could use that for source material for adventures. Hmmm, 30 comics, 30 adventures . . . woo hoo. Not to mention spiffy artwork, that could spark adventure ideas. PsyJack

Don't know about anyone else but I picked up my copy of No Surrender, No Retreat today from my lGS. I am prolly the last to do so, but my game shop isn't that speedy. I must say that upon first opening NSNR, I had to smile and take a moment to reflect. Thank you, the people at Mongoose for Dedicatin...

Well, If I had to give an answer I would say, since main racebooks are still coming out, not to mention storyline books with rule additions, etc it is hard to publish a game screen that would include everything that needs to be on one. Not to mention if they had created one after the main book it wo...

I never could get into jeremiah. It was as if it had been done to death and nothing was new about it. No invention. No revelations. I mean we could post a huge list of movies, television, and books that already covered this genre. At least with Babylon 5, he did new things. He introduced a flow that...

On an aside, How much extra per book would it be to have a CD in the back. (much like the first edition D20 players handbook) The CD could contain some Full Resolution ship sheets, hex maps, counters, Quick Refrence Charts, etc. As well as the entire PDF version of the book? I personally would be wi...

In character scale action your rules make a lot of sense though because the squares are very finite and can only be occupied by one medium sized character at a time. (Unless grappling of course) Since I am using a Hex map with large Starfury mini's, only one starfury can occupy a hex at a time. So ...

Bryankia, Its a cool concept, but, I agree with the worm food bit, and I have a real world example to prove it. However, it isn't skill that causes the person to escape a firefight without a scratch. Its luck. The enemies weapon jams, he runs out of bullets, stray fire takes him out, etc. Let me exp...

Since the group I run uses Starfury Minis, and the ships I throw against them are counters. It is easy to see in a 2d world where the fire is going. That said, and using the same example as a stray PPG shot, you can figure the rest out. Quick Example: If a shot is made that misses the target, a new ...

Agreed, Cover is key, Hard Cover, Soft Cover, Cover Fire, any cover can save your life. As a person who has played Paintball, I can attest, bunkers are your friend. AS LONG AS, you have allies that can flank from your position and give you cover fire. If you are in a bunker solo, cover kills. It is ...

Hmmm, I just make aquire target a free action, to more accuratly represent the dogfight. That way if you loose target it can be due to jammers, ecm, countermeasures, enemy pilot's skill, etc. The game mechanic is still in play, and you lose nothing. My players have gotten to the point where they rol...

I could be remembering wrong, but during the Dilgar war didn't the EF come up with "Instant Starbases, Just add water?" I believe that was the line in the Earth Force Book. I believe I remember reading that they built prefab bases in then transported them out, and had the functional in a matter of d...

Good Points all, I would just like to add that on page 96 of the B5RPGnFB you will see that: restrictions in the Starfury's fusion reactor output means both sets of weapons may not be fired simultaneously. Hence the logic, one could unlink the light uni-pulse cannons and fire them at two different t...

Nope, not at all. Only one Starfury weapon system can be fired in a round. Not both. According to the rulebook, of course. Thus, the reason I included the 5 attacks was: 1) It is possible for Characters to have more than 1 attack per round, hence the need for an accurate reflection of character abil...
