Re: Gazelle Class Close Escort

If Andrew says that's what is meant in the rules, then so be it. Did he also intend to write rules that completely obsolete the TL15 Fusion power that is standard in almost Every imperial Warship? Because that's what the High Tech rules have done, as shown in your Gazelle Spreadsheet. I'm with bluek...

Re: Gazelle Class Close Escort

Another Dilbert, A more thoughts before I post my iterations: - I disagree with your rules interpretation regarding advanced technology drives. You're saying because the drive tonnage decreases, the effective price increase isn't as high as it is for all other technology increases. I use the same pr...

Re: Gazelle Class Close Escort

You‘ve definitely designed a beast of a 300 ton ship. I’d take it for my traveller crew anyday. The power gaming comment is an observation, not a criticism. I consider it almost a crime not to upgrade the range on pulse lasers. Weapons, sorry, misread your sheet. Thought you had a missle barbette. J...

Re: Gazelle Class Close Escort

Power gaming with all that high technology in the design, Dilbert. Personally I wouldnt allow the TL12+3 (high technology) fusion drives. There is already a TL15 fusion drive in the book, so I’d make you use it. That’s just me. I also think high technolgy should be MUCH more expensive than the RAW. ...

Re: Pirates of Drinax - GMs thread

Question for those who have run the Treasure Ship Adventure: Irontooth’s vessels include a “300 ton bug-class” salvage hauler. I cant find this vessel. The ships book details a 400 ron vulture class, but no 300 ton. Is there somewhere I’m supposed to be looking for this vessel’s particulars, or is i...

Re: How does the patrol corvette land?

If I were designing it the G Carrier would go in the boat. Frees up room for other things, and if you're chasing someone down to the surface, you'll need to be in the boat if you want to catch them.

Re: How does the patrol corvette land?

Looking at the Mongoose design, I would say to have folding tips (or simply no vertical tips at all) and landing gear. As far the airlock goes, I would say simply drop the airlock from the main deck to the lower deck, and/or assume that primary ingress/egress when on land is from a ramp at the back ...

Re: Pirates: Revolution on Acrid

So Ive had a hard time reconciling this crappy little mining colony with the Class A star port. Acrid is on the Jimp-3 trade route, so its going to get traffic, and much of that traffic will have imperial escorts. The trojan reach book does mention that GeDeCo has significant assets in Acrid, so I t...

Re: So, what's with the supplements?

My group is all human as well. I kinda wish one had gone with Aslan just to add to the adventure of the Drinax Campaign.

The minor humans would interest me more as well, but to each their own.

Re: So, what's with the supplements?

Matthew, all that sounds good. I agree there's no need to do a race profile unless you can do it justice. If people want high level stuff they can use 1e material or other versions before yours. More importantly, I appreciate your efforts and your willingness to engage with your customers in this ma...

Re: So, what's with the supplements?

I will look into the PDF prices, but it may be a while before we can do anything there. However, while we are on the subject of 1e books... If we could bring back any 1e book in 2e format right now, which would you like to see? No promises, but if the stars align, I will see what we can do! Starpor...

Re: Pirates: Revolution on Acrid

Thats a good idea as well. My plan is for the entire place to be inside the mountain, with high pressure protecting the docking facility when the doors are open. A liquid wall similar to the techworld spaceport would come in handy, but thats at least TL15 and might not survive Acrid conditions anywa...

Re: Pirates of Drinax - GMs thread

You would expect the empire to use TL15 encription on these items, which would imply that they cant be broken. So either hand wave that point, come up withan adventure or means to gain at least a partial key, or drop that part of the adventure. Perhaps an ex scout could gain illicit access to the x ...
