So I might be taking the Earthdawn plunge this year. This will be mostly to raid the setting of its fluff and locations. Which books can you recommend me for this?

Master of Orion Setting (For Traveller)

I for one would be on Cloud 9 if Mongoose coould wrangle a license to develop an rpg incarnation of MoO. I'd hop it would be for Traveller.

MoO3 was pretty terrible, way too much micro-management. I'd hope that [Mongoose] could develop it treating MoO3 like it never happened.

Star Wars - Traveller Style!

In May, WotC is letting their Star Wars license expire.

I'd love to see Mongoose Publishing get their hands on the license and update to work with the Traveller rules.

Judge Dredd & Strontium Dog

I got my copy of Strontium Dog ysterday and gave it a quick look over. I don't know thing one about the universe and background setting, though looking at the art I noticed a striking similarity between the SD outfits and those that the Judges of the Judge Dredd universe wear.

I came up with this idea myself quite a long time ago (cack in the days of AD&D 2nd Edition). I don't imagine it would be very hard to implement. Another thing that I thought of was Beaming Beacons (beam me up, Scotty). A network of beaming beacons on a planetary scale would allow to be anywhere at ...

*sigh*

I put off buying any new Mongoose products since I bought my copy on the Conan rpg back in August until the SoM was released.
The wait is killing me.

Twilight 2000 is among top 5 favorite rpgs. When I was first introduced to it, my GM only had the 1st Ed rules. I've been hooked on it ever since.

RuneQuest II by Mongoose slated for January release

Amazon.com is listing RuneQuest II with a January 15th releases date. A GM's Screen for RQII is listed with the same release date.

Of course we'll have to wait for the state of Mongoose for any word on whether or not a new edition is actually happening.

I think the original poster tried to make fun out of RQ, because RQ uses ducks. So he suggested RQ could also handle rabbits. I am not a fan of "funny" RPGs... No, not in the least. I love Bunnies & Burrows and am aspiring to get arounfd to RuneQuest. I honestly had no idea the RuneQuest uses ducks...

Converting Fantasy Worlds To Traveller (Strontium Dog)

With the advent of the magic system from Strontium Dog I am considering converting a handful of fantasy worlds/systems (Krynnspace, Realmspace & Shattered Space (aka The Astromundi Cluster)) to Traveller. This will be purely fluff and background crunch at first. Next I'll move on to the more densely...
