I think being vocal about here on the boards should do the trick. I am pretty sure that they keep an eye on the posts and that, for instance, a pretty widestread disfavour of the new binding, of non-colour books and the wishes of people to have adventures included in sourcebooks do not go totally un...

This is what I wanted to say: One, maybe two adventure that put all the information odf the sourcebook to good use. Let's take "Across Thunder River" as a good example and let's do it from the top down starting with the adventure. What do we have? 1) An attack on Schohira - Well, we have lots of inf...

What else am I supposed to do with this information if it is not relevant for gaming. This is not "storytelling" for failed authors who cannot get their elaborates and poems printed but adventure gaming! Are you calling me a failed author? (...) Sorry for the rant, but the "failed author" tag rathe...

I like to buy adventures. I'm in this hobby for the gaming part, see, and I am kinda lazy but have ALL THIS MONEY clogging the drains, keeping the doors blocked etc. So I'd prefer to get all them Euros out of the house and buy some nice adventures with 'em - short scenarious, longer adventures, clas...

Agree on the astetic side. My bother in law plays a Hyknaian Nomad/ Soldier with a Hyrkanian Bow. Looks good on him and he also dished out some serious damage. But still no good if a heavily armoured foe is advancing. Against pict any bow is good. Well, hunting bows suck. But they aren't meant for k...

I am getting that picture printed on a t-shirt so there can be no doubt anymore WHO is the GM, WHO calls the shots, and WHO is in charge at the gaming-table! So send them crackers and munchies my way, fathead, or your character is dead meat! P.S.: I' get one for a friend of mine, too - nice birthday...

Bossonian Bows are THE TOOL! Yes, extra range is nice, but how oftne do you shoot very far in an adventure. The threat range is narrower with the Bossonian Bow but crits are x3! Juts got a lucky pict in last nights game who did 36 points of damage with a single hit! the player character fell to -1 i...

Actually they aren't my ideas - they are straight from the Compendium. Actually I like the Honour System in Conan. It is not that you have to have one. For instance in my current group we have a Soldier and a Noble/ Soldier with Civilized Code of Honour, a Soldier with the Mercenary's Code of Honour...

Honour Among Thieves is in the Compendium, not in Hyboria's Fallen. It goes like this: + Respect and honour a better thief. + Be bold. + Sahre adventure, and spoils, with a worthy thief. + Trust your instincts. + Be ever watchful Things a thief with honour will not do: + Steal from other thieves who...

I apologize, but artwork holds a special place for me in gaming. I love the old sword and sorcery masters. I think artwork does alot to define the feel of the gaming universe in which you play. ." Agree 10,000%!!! What says more about the Conan Universe than the bloodied weapons in the old edition?...

I paid $60 for the SG:1 RPG at 450 page and full color. I'd gladly pay $60 for Conan in full color. (note to Mongooses staff: We prefer color and will pay for it) Same here. But I do agree to the "B&W art also looks nice" - IF the art was B &W in the first place, in the original form. Then it can e...

Time to bitch about the non-colour 2nd edition
I just downloaded the new CONAN adventure in the latest S&P - and there ist is! The background and the sides of the pages all in colour! Beautiful! And what do we got: Stupid black and white **** that really does not plea the eye ... Mongoosians: Never do that again! Never! This is a command! Charge...

I think Axerules hits it right between the eyes IF one is using the optional Parry rules: Dodge and go Scot-free BUT you get hit if I hit your Defence, Parry and you can save your hide but be aware of the fact that I'll detroy your toy or throw you around a little (Okay, IF you are Conan I'll get pu...

Addendum: The new options for Defensive Blast are very good and add a lot to the game. But another thing: Am I the only one who thinks that book binding has lost quality since the Lankhmar and Newhon books? It's now glued. So far no loose pages but the books don't keep being open when laid down. Lik...

CONAN 2nd Edition - How does "Lock Weapons" work?
Hi there! Just got the new rulesbook, flipped through it and found the "Lock Weapons" maneuver. So, any Idea how that works? It say in the text that combatants lock weapons if "the character's attck roll is exactly equal to the opponent's Parry Defence or his Parry Defence is exactly equal to his op...

Old an new WFRP have a very renaissance fantasy feeling to it and mirror the world perfectly: If you want to get a certain skill - GET A JOB!
