I have to agree. My copy arrived yesterday and I opened it up and ... was immediately disappointed with the lack of color. Haven't had a chance to read through it, but first impression wasn't very good. I'm sure the game content is great, as I wouldn't expect anything less from Mongoose, but I was h...

Great fantasty writer. I really liked his Conan stories and read the first 7 or 8 of the Wheel of Time. Fond farewell to him and best wishes to his family. He will be missed.

I agree. The Conan RPG is fantastic and I have pretty much everything that Mongoose has published for it. However, the biggest weakness of the material is the lack/poor quality of the maps. A Regional sourcebook without a map? That is just not good enough.

I preordered mine and should be here fairly soon. I'm a little disappointed with the greyscale interiors.

Still waiting for some reviews though...

I used to run all my own stuff, but real life (work, kids, etc.) doesn't leave much time to play, so I run much more published material now. I usually have a broad general flow to a campaign with recurring NPC, villians, etc. and adapt the published material into the "chapters" of the campaign. I ju...

I remember the covers to be absolutely fantastic! Some great artwork on these. Too bad they will reprinted in Black & White, but anything to see these stories reprinted and available at a reasonable cost.

Count me in for these books! I love these old Savage Sword stories! I wonder if these reprints will be edited at all. If I remember correctly, the first 60 or so issues of Savage Sword of Conan showed bare breasts fairly regularly. After issue 60, they were still fairly risque, but no actual nudity....

Although, not giving us any details will probably force a bunch of us to buy it just in case. If they told us that it was mostly reprints, not many of us old timers would pay for it. Thinking from a business stand point that is.

I agree - Mongoose really needs to give us details on the 2nd edtion Conan. I already have most of the 1st edition stuff, and don't want to pay for a bunch of reprints. New material, I'll gladly shell out the dough!

I picked the book up when it first came out. It definately has some great art in it. It incorporates a LOT of the old Marvel comic book continuity it in. Since the book is written by Thomas, and he also wrote those old comic stories, that certainly makes sense. I think it is worth picking up for any...

Thanks for sharing your campaign ideas. I always enjoy seeing what other people are doing out there. It like a good campaign so far, well thought out and good branching points at the end.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!
