I'd say check a few issues back in Signs and Portents. I can't recall for which issue but I'm sure I saw the state of mongoose in there.

Character Pack/Folio/Book (what ever you want to call these nice deluxe character sheets) are the only products I'll buy as PDF. In fact I only buy them that way since it's something your going to have to print multiple copies of over time anyway.

If it is for publication, answer me this question: why should someone play this over D&D? Because they dislike D&D and the growing power creep and munchkinism that is appearing in more and more "modern" games. Some people like nice low-fantasy games and with WFRP going to a funky 3e this could work...

From the few exchanges of fire that has occured in the game I'm running it seems playable though the players haven't stuck around to really duke it out. As far as playable space combat systems go my players and I still find Alternity to have the best rules. (GMG/Starship rules, we're not fans of the...

I've looked over the quickstart and asked about it on the classic battletech forums and the new RPG they have coming out is designed so that mech combat uses the full miniature game (have to pick up those books).

So I'm here looking to convert it to Traveller.

Got High Guard (and I've been looking at the ability of it to handle Dropships, Jumpships and full Warships). Merc is on the list for next pay check. Central Supply is currently en route (blasted slow mail) Compiled a list of factions/powers, and Mechs of the Era I'm planning on setting the game. Ri...

Battletech using Traveller

I'm really looking forward to civilian and military vehicles because I'm thinking to trying to convert the old battletech rpgs to Traveller. Anyone have any suggestions for me when I get started on the crunchy mech stuff?

Mixed Bag: First played traveller using classic traveller in 92, and over the years I've toyed with McMillers, New Age, Mega, T20, GURPS, and Mongooose and though it all I find I like aspects of most and dislike parts of each. And none has succeeded in taking the top SciFi slot for me (which is stil...

I considered Star Drive as well. In the end, just decided to use the world descriptions and stuff within the MTU. But... Alternity did ships RIGHT. And Ship Combat RIGHT! That was what was missing in HG for me. Have you ever looked at the Ships Excel Sheet and Design Sequence? That thing is a work ...

I was planning on keeping the traveller mechanics as much as possible with a few changes where the setting obviously makes changes (example would be space travel). I really like the existing verge map and the fact that worlds are seperated in 3D. Above and below each other in addition to 'north'/'so...

Any thoughts no organic ships?

I'd have to disagree with you about that since it's worked well for several groups I've GM'd for over the years with no house rules except for the skill point cost mod that was posted on TSR's site by the design team shortly after release and that simple changed it so that skill costs don't increase...

I guess a little background would help. I've been a big stardrive fan since it first came out and have run several long campaigns of it using Alternity. The problem is I'm not nearly as familiar with Traveller system (any version). I'm thinking of trying to run it using traveller since I've recently...

Stardrive setting

I really like this setting and am thinking of trying to run it using traveller. I was wondering if anyone else has attempted this yet and if so if they have any suggestions that would help me in my efforts.

I hadn't thought about it before but Mass Effect could be a pretty good setting to use with a lot of backstory hinted thoughout the game.
