Re: Supplementary PDFs for previous edition products?
That's possible. As the PARANOIA licensee, Mongoose would have to grant permission, and I'd probably want to check to make sure with the owners (Eric Goldberg and Greg Costikyan). I should ask.Arkku wrote:Any chance of you posting the PDF somewhere else? =)

Re: Supplementary PDFs for previous edition products?
While on that note, how about finally releasing the “free bonus material” promised in WMD ? The paragraph in that module gives the impression that the stuff was already done but just cut for lack of space, so what gives? This past summer I finally finally got around to producing the bonus .PDF for ...

The Troubleshooter rulebook reinstitutes the treason point system from the older West End Games editions of PARANOIA; the 2004 edition's Treason codes are relocated to an appendix. The Troubleshooter rulebook also concentrates solely on the Classic play style, removing the Straight and Zap styles to...

"Mister Bubbles" is a pretty good first choice. The first Flashbacks mission collection has some good alternatives, such as "Robot Imana-665-C" (also presented in the new Troubleshotoers rulebook) and the introductory orientation "Pre-PARANOIA." The official PARANOIA development blog has, in its rig...

Now this is interesting. I found a supposed quote from AV online regarding Collapsatron: "Two classic-era missions which were incorporated into Flashbacks 2 for full release. But again it seems a few copies of this version escaped into the wild..." If I said "Flashbacks 2," I misspoke and meant "Al...

It is for Gareth Hanrahan, designer of High Programmers , to answer with true ULTRAVIOLET-Clearance authority, but I can provide a temporary stopgap. Each player plays a single UV-Clearance High Programmer. Character creation involves several auctions, in the manner of Amber Diceless Roleplaying , f...

With only two PCs it is hard to capture PARANOIA's characteristic atmosphere. When something bad happens to one PC, he automatically knows who did it. That said, you should really look at the rules supplement Criminal Histories , which expands character generation options to develop a trail of past ...

Provisional congratulations on your imminent promotion to ULTRAVIOLET Clearance, citizen Danforth! The official PARANOIA development blog lists, in its right sidebar, many links to forum threads (some of them right here on the Mongoose forums) that offer copious advice to first-time Gamemasters. The MBD Badges are downloadable in the Extreme Paranoia downloads section. Those would be for the additional MBDs introduced in Extreme (Advertising and Branding, Medical, Agent Provocateur, etc.). The standard MBDs in the rulebook (Team Leader, Loyalty Officer, Equipment Guy, etc.) are available a...

Authorship of the new rules seems unclear: the book itself lists Allen Varney as the writer/scapegoat and Gareth Hanrahan only as “additional material” (for reactor shielding?) while the Mongoose website lists him as the author of this edition. Was so much of the material written by Allen Varney th...

The Black Missions black book is the limited edition of the new PARANOIA Troubleshooters rulebook. Troubleshooters is the unlimited edition of the same rulebook; it has a different cover and no CD-ROM. The limited edition's CD-ROM includes .PDFs of most of the support line from 2004-08, basically ev...

It's a shame they couldn't get the Stuff books cleared for inclusion... perhaps there were one too many 2004-era rules entanglements to work out? Or maybe it's a rights thing. That's the most likely explanation for the Flashbacks books being omitted too. There are no rights issues regarding any of ...
