You point them to this fine introductory article by Mike-U-LEM of the Traitor Recycling Studio, "PARANOIA, or, Why It's Fun to Get Shot Six Times":

The Mutant Experience was originally 64 pages, but a last-minute page increase bumped it up to 72 pages. It's a rules supplement by R. Eric Reuss of the Traitor Recycling Studio, the happy gaggle of writers who created Crash Priority . The Mutant Experience features about three dozen new mutant pow...

The giant mutant radioactive cockroaches appeared in the 2nd edition PARANOIA rulebook's introductory adventure, "Into the Outdoors With Gun and Camera." They're about the size of a small skyscraper. As I recall, the cockroaches were deeply interested in early 20th Century modern art, especially Pic...

Ah, now I apprehend your question. Hummm... I'm not quite sure what to do about the handouts in products that are largely composed of handouts. I imagine offering (for example) all 21 pregenerated PCs from Crash Priority as free .PDFs could powerfully dissuade potential customers from buying the act...

I believe Mongoose will make each PARANOIA supplement's handouts available as free downloads here on the Web site as the product hits the stores. I don't know of any plan to combine all the handouts into one big aggregate bundle, if that's what you're asking. Maybe I'm not quite understanding -- wha...

In my view Saul is correct: A specialty that applies to all bots is too broad to qualify as "narrow." I suggest a player who wants the "Spurious Logic" specialty, as defined in the original West End PARANOIA editions, should get the GM's approval and fill in one of those nice empty blanks under "Man...

Everyone involved in PARANOIA XP is delighted at Jim Holloway's return, and I believe Jim is looking forward to illustrating future PARANOIA supplements. It's possible that scheduling issues may require additional artists to backstop Jim, but I hope he will always be accorded pride of place as the O...

Excellent use of service firms there, Shon-R. That's a funny and characteristically PARANOIA plot element. One part that struck me was the attitude that the players should be the ones killing each other, not a homicidal GM. That wasn't the way my GM ran it! I don't know if that was how old Paranoia ...

Thanks, D-U. I admit the new XP edition strikes a less constantly comic tone than did the much-loved West End second edition of PARANOIA (1987) and the classic adventures. This was partly due to deadline pressure, but mainly stems from my wish to broaden the range of experiences players associate wi...

With a small group, I suggest Straight play. It offers more opportunity to present fears from outside the group rather than within it -- though some wouldn't call that "opporunity" so much as "violation of the spirit of the game." But with fewer players, each individual PC will perforce be watching ...

Mongoose's support line for PARANOIA is planned over a year in advance. However, I know Signs & Portents editor Ian Barstow is always looking for proposals for good short PARANOIA pieces, especially articles. If you'd like to submit a proposal, e-mail him at ibarstow (at) mongoosepublishing (dot) com.

There is no equipment list as such, other than the one at the end of the PARANOIA XP player section and a second in the "Mister Bubbles" mission. The pregenerated Troubleshooter characters in the PARANOIA rulebook have extra stuff the designer made up on the spot, a longtime PARANOIA tradition. I'm ...

GM Screen insert booklet contents

The PARANOIA GM Screen includes a 24-page booklet, but none of the information you listed is included. Instead, it has a 16-page "mission blender," an elaborate collection of charts that lets you generate mission ideas using repeated 1d20 rolls. There are also a couple of one-page handouts to new pl...

does that mean there will be a new version of "Hill Sector Blues" somewhere down the line? We'll adapt the HIL Sector Blues material as part of a large-scale supplement due about a year from now.
