I'm after a date, so I can book a train, and whether there will be competitive play/having a laugh, in which case I may paint up a mercenary force of around 500 points or so. 1000 might be a bit much to buy and paint in one go.

Right, I am now thinking of getting one. Yours looks pretty good, but what exactly do you get with the kit? If you didn't get the ERA with it, where did you get that from?

Right, I'll revist mercenary forces tonight if there is time and post it for further discussion on the BF:Evo list. I had been writing the list with the notion of submitting it to S&P.

It could be easily arranged. Is there anywhere that does the models for the A-Team?

How much did it set you back?

And do they have any other nifty kits ie the BMP-1, 2 or 3?

There is currently a full mercenary list being worked on, I just need to go back and give it some polish and alter some of the weapons.

Where did you get the model from? I'm after a 28mm friendly T-55 to use with mercs.

There are a number of fan projects underway regarding BF:Evo. Check out the mongoose mods group for some of them (and some ideas as to how things have been structured so far).

I can see Vietnam as fun. And Korea can be done with the WWII rules (not an awful lot of tech there that isn't see in WWII).

I'm in.

The next question is, I live in Birmingham, is it cheaper to fly to Swindon or get the train? Does Swindon even have an airport?

I've never seen close combat happen in a game of BF:Evo I've played. The only time I've seen it in SW:Evo is with Jedi. Otherwise you always get firefights, as shooting is almost always better than CC. SST:Evo will see it lots though. Against USMC in a building, MEA infantry will always hit them wit...

Privateer Press P3 paints - anyone used them?

Has anyone used the P3 paints? And does anyone know if single pots will be available in the UK?

How it will work and why Matt has done what he has done: Rules - downloadable free 4 page rules set, like in Warmachine or Hordes. You will be able to get this from the Mongoose site and in the boxes of minis. Hardback rulebook - Complete rules, including aircraft and campaign, but no stats because ...

Excellent. Name a date and start time and I'll book a train down there.

Would it just be BF:Evo, or could people bring stuff for the mods for it? I could possibly supply enough for a couple of games.

If you make it an open day with GAMING, that would be better, and I may be tempted from the Dantesque hellpit of Birmingham down to Swindon.

So what they need is drop pods and power armour eh?

I happen to know a company in Lenton that could supply those at bargain prices.

I don't disagree with that. However I would have been prepared to pay another fiver for another 24 pages of ships or so.
The next question is how much more material would be needed for Mongoose to produce a supplement of similar page count to VaS?

Victory at Sea Supplement - who would buy it?

Fairly self explanatory, if Mongoose did an expansion who would buy it, and what would they want in it? Here is what I would want in contents. German Z plan navy Expanded German aircraft (Dornier, ME 110, Condor for example) More British ships Expanded British aircraft (Wellington, Lancaster, Albaco...

I've read the whole book, it is excellent. I'll be ordering enough Navwar to field 5+ War fleets (and already have 5 point battle royal navy, and 4 point battle Kriegsmarine).
This is a really good game. I'll write a more detailed review, but everyone should buy it.

Unpublished ships already designed?

I'm looking at the book fleet lists, and their are some big omissions for the Italians, Japanese, Americans, French and British. I'm curious as to what was left out for space considerations but ALREADY exists (for publication in S&P or an expansion supplement) and what doesn't and us various forum p...
