Well also the Spanish fleet's battleships (and other modern ships) were all based in homes port and weren't actually involved in the war. The squadron at Santiago was all outdated cruisers taking on modern American battleships. And the fleet at Manila was caught by surprise whilst in harbor. So ther...

Well I wouldn't draw any link between the Shadows technology and the Gaims. The Shadows build living ships, the Gaim don't. The Shadow's ships (as far as we know) have any genetic relationship to the Shadows themselves. The Gaim's "bio-tech" is a natural genetic trait of their queens, its how the Ga...

Wow!!! Sorry to step on your apparently all conquering Star Fleet's toes... But considering the number of people that can apparently be packed into a ship 640m long with just 42 decks the galaxy class has very little actual structure, most of it is hollow... I'm not saying that Babylon 5 shi...

Federation: Phasers (extremily accurate energy beams-Accurate, Beam, Precise, Triple Damage) Really? I never saw a phaser actually rake across its target only pin-point strike and I never saw one cut very far through its targets (like big B5 weapons do) so I think mini-beam and single damage are ac...

Well for the Narn to have first contact with Earth then they would have to have either not be conquered by the Centauri or have thrown off the Centauri yoke earlier than actually occurred since the Centauri contacted Earth in the 2160's a good fifty odd years before the earliest possible date we hav...

I once back in the B5wars days worked on a scenario (from ideas introduced by someone else admittedly) where the Dilgar fought the EA to a stand still so there was a big Dilgar empire still remaining. The EA was then more cautious when approaching the Minbari and so the Earth-Minbari war doesn't hap...

The Sho'Kos/Kov has a set of little indents like submerged machine gun barrels on some aircraft on the two prongs, those are the gun barrels, the big ones at the back are indeed the engines. Of course under AoG the ship didn't possess any weapon that would require barrels that big as the Burst Beam ...

Yet why would any fleet operate six different models of the same weapon? There are many different types of HMG yes but most armies only use one of them... Similarly there wouldn't be enough of a performance range to make each priority levels weapons different, otherwise why use a medium pulse cannon...

I believe the reason they were created by AoG was because if you watch carefully the Nova does actually fire both beams and pulses in one shot from In the Beginning (shortly before being blown up in a torrent of neutron laser fire of course...) So they are in effect canon, indeed the Omega's guns wo...

Based on the extrapolation of reality that is ACtA, there are never multiple of the same weapon systems in the same arc (if I'm wrong, please correct me) The 2 e-mines would be factored into one system. Look at the Nova. It has a magnatude of guns in any arc, yet only single weapon systems to repre...

The Heavy Cruiser has always been the Heavy Cruiser, in game terms anyway, that particular ship is often referred to as a Dreadnought or Star Dreadnought in fan circles but is never actually named in the series so either could be right. The six-limbed Dreadnought simple had more guns than the four l...

Nice looking ships you've got there. @Da Boss - interesting stuff there, although I doubt Commander Sinclair is old enough to have seen combat in the Dilgar War at least not at the same rank as he had at the beginning of the series... The Shadows quite happily destroyed the Narn fleet at Gorash 7 from beyond visual range... In fact a lot of the early battles were much longer range than the later ones, so close range battles were not the only ones fought. Although I wouldn't rely on a visual data to run any of the close range batt...

As for the unusually nomenclature used for Earthforce ships (the Omega and Warlock specifically) I have no problem with it, in fact I think the mistake made was not continuing with it when designating the alien races ships. Ship designations have changed repeatedly in their meaning over the years. T...

The ramble about the name was just as I assume that the designations are human and it prob should be a Corvette (both in your version and the P+P version) as its a smaller ship than a Destroyer which is less powerful than a Frigate? Not that it really matters as B5 usually ignores all these convent...
