That's what I'd suggest too: allow the base to use the speed drain penalty, which of course simply negates the power drain rule for them. IIRC the FedCom variety have got heavy cruiser or better power levels but obviously no need to pay energy for movement so I'd think they'd have enough to spare to...

It's the same model, although the D6 in the store pics might be one of the original resin ones (which has slight differences in thickness here and there). The recesses on the wing leading edges should be there, it's the "air intake" detail you'll see in images of the "real thing", although it's lost...

All of my Fed resin minis are yellowing and the clear coat is cracking/crazing on some of them. Not happy about that to say the least. The metal ones are fine so far. It's a Special Action. Unless it says otherwise, they are resolved in the movement phase when they are declared.

No, but they're similar enough at tabletop distances that I reckon it'd be easy for your opponent to mix the two up if they weren't familiar with the Prometheus.

Self-defence fire effectively ignores range, the Accurate trait is all you take into account when working out the to hit number.

If you're covering another ship with Intensify Defensive Fire, then you would use the range penalty if the defended ship was at over half range from the defender.
