I thought the SJG license was still active.

I posted this thread cause I was interested in seeing if there was a call for more Gateway material. :) Not breaking into another discussion about the licenses :)

I'm sure that 2300 can fit using the Mongoose rules. After all there's B5 and Judge Dredd settings too. I'd be inclined to get the 2300 book. I think it should have a lot of setting material and little on the way of equipment. I think supplement 6 for MGT is great and could easliy be used in 2300 bu...

Gateway Sector (was Re: Kafers in MGT)

I think this question goes more to MJD than anyone else. SO If QLI loses it license would Avenger publish 990 era material using the MGT system? Or "rules lite" stuff like it did before. I happen to like the Gateway to Destiny book and setting. I'm using it for my MGT games. There are a lot of room ...

I like the Narn, Rangers, Centauri and Minbari books from 1E. I think they're all good for background.

I second the Psi Corps and Galactic Guide. Depending on what time period you're thinking of setting your game in you might want the Crusade book too. I like the Drac book for 2e too. :)

This is off the topic of this thread but in Gateway to Destiny MJD gives a few ideas for adventure ideas using individual planets. IIRC there's a list of twelve ideas in the back. I think most are variations on the ones here: http://www.io.com/~sjohn/plots.htm Project Steel is out I think and Tripwi...

There's some Scout service adventure ideas in GT First In.

The PC's could be hired to explore an uninhabited part of a main world too. Or other planets in a system.

The book is good for establishing the B5 tech in Traveller terms and the D20 sourcebooks will fill in the fluff.
I think the B5 D20 books are really good. Lots of material in them.

I checked out the sand cobra. Nice artwork. I still don't think one creature per pdf is worth it. One creature per page in a larger .pdf maybe 64 pages? Is cool. Along with MGT conversions for real critters like aligators. :D I was wondering I don't have the book in front of me, why a huge cobra mov...

The ships are a sort of odd neither fish nor fowl mix between Traveller and not-Traveller. Even without jump drives as in Traveller, Trav's system hydrogen fuel based power system is still there for the other system This makes it easier to intermix Trav-designed ships with B5 craft, but it results ...

Like the probe or fighter drones...the communications range is like 500 miles IIRC in the main book. So I was wondering if they could be controlled longer than that by the rules.

Drones

Are the ranges of drones based on the communication tech in the main book?

Also I saw mention of a drone suite for the bridge of some of the drones. But I can't find a write up of what exactly it is. Does anyone know where to locate it?

thanks
