The U.S., definitely. Basically, the EF are inhuman monsters... literally. The U.S. is in a war to stop their genetic modification to create bioderm soldiers in their mechs. I don't care whether or not it's true. It doesn't really matter. The U.S. soldiers are fighting for the future of humanity an...

Hi guys,

Latest update on the EA Fact Book - it should be arriving at our warehouse this week, which means off to distributors on Monday and appearing in your local stores in about 2 weeks, give or take.

At the moment, the Minbari Federation Fact Book is currently on course.

Check out MWWG when it hits the stores (this week, actually). This is the new non-glossy paper all our colour books will now be using.

Hi guys, If you are after espionage, assassinations and special forces in A2089, the Soldier's Companion, due in December, is indeed the book for you. The Soldier's Companion, in a way, completes the initial run for A2089, as we will have detailed Meks, space warfare, tanks and finally spec ops/espi...

You can use these rules on their own in the sense they are self-contained but you'll need the main rulebook for general combat and electronic warfare rules.

Lifestyles Download

Hi guys, New experimental rules for the Babylon 5 RPG are up on our web site at; http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/babylon5/downloads.php This addition covers living expenses, occupations and general levels of lifestyle - mundane aspects of the diplomatic station but ones, nevertheless, that a lot o...

Looking good so far. One brief quibble: "In addition to this, the consciousness of a Shadow ship exists in both real space and hyperspace simultaneously." Problem: If this is so, then why do they have the scout as seen in Shadow Dancing? For the same reason nations today do not automatically deploy...

Funnily enough, I have been considering alternate hit point rules for the Companion - but making characters even weaker, not more macho! It is up for debate whether we include any 'optional' rules in the Companion, as I have a mortal hatred of them. They just seem so wishy-washy 'we kinda thought th...

Hi guys, There are many reasons we do things the way we do :) However, consider individual weapons in B5 to be 'classes' of weapon, in the same way a 120mm cannon might be a class of weapon today. All 120mm cannon are devastating but they most certainly are not all the same. By the same token, a hea...

Hi guys, Latest news. An advance copy of the EA book has landed on my desk (and very nice it looks too). The rest are currently (I ain't kidding!) on a slow boat from China. It looks like they are destined to arrive on the first week of October - slightly annoying, but the good news is that Minbari ...

Design Idea - Multiclassing in B5

Hi guys, New experimental rule for B5: There shalt be no XP for multiclassing, ever. Try out and discuss. I think B5 benefits from multiclassing characters much more than other d20 games and it is not the kind of RPG where power gaming either lurks or is particularly successful. Let me know what the...

No solid plans as yet for a GM's Screen for B5, though as we near our reprint of the main rulebook, it becomes increasingly likely.

Well, between you and me, sales of the main rulebook have exceeded expectations, to the point we are already about to order a reprint. . .

This bodes well for future supplements :)
