The Angriest Angel is the best, i also really enjoyed Raymond Butts. It was a great universe that could have alot of scope for development. I liked the more multi national approach of it rather than shows where the US inherits space and other countries cease to exist. I can see why people were a bit...

The Assault Group make a range of modern weapons, i've just ordered 2 of their landrovers and enough MG's to kit it our plus some sniper rifles anf AT-Weapons. I'm not sure how the scale will work out but i'll be sure to let y'all know when it gets here.

I think it looks great, it makes alot of sense and it offers alot of flexability. I think you could sell a lot of these if you did decide to offer them as such. A bit of design work and some different themes and flavours.

Really great work :)

It was an ok issue. I was more down on the BF:Evo report. I thought the lack of terrain made it alot less intersting. I know it was a break from the urban board but from the field map it was like killing field and building. I'd like to see more of the scenerio's battle rep'ed or a battle we haven't ...

SisterSoul wrote:Well, you could make any new book FREE ! :P

Or what about putting up any changed parts of the rulebook for those with the book already ?
I like the spirit of SisterSoul's comment, surely there is a comprimise that helps the game and causes minimal miffage.

Not really fair to those who have bought it already tho.

Positive PR might be undone by those of us hacked off because we ACTUALLY supported the company by buying it.

Seems a bit like punishing the believers to me.

Just my 2c...

I only play as M.I so i've only glanced at the points costs etc for tunneling but's an exceptionally useful option. Where games are objective based it can really change how you look at winning. It also means you have to think about when to bring on your air assests/dropped units. I think it's a grea...

:o The table, the models, the scale of the battle all amazing but the most impressive feat is finding 10 SST players in the same city and available at teh same time. Great work all round!

BFE will survive even if its just a ruleset. The Mongoose models aren't essential. There is so much available at 1/72 scale. I'm not sure I agree. It may not disappear, but it will take a MAJOR hit. I was only drawn to the game initially because it was prepainted. I'm too busy to paint and am not i...

I think (hope) the guys at mongoose are far too busy for a podcast getting BF:Evo and SST:Evo sorted. :P

Planet mongoose is great but can be along time to get new blogs cos they're working, a podcast as well...I'd rather have the games thanks!

I think both have a place. I really enjoy painting vehicles, terrain, hero models, commanders, weapons team- interesting stuff i'll only do a few times per army. Rank and file bores the crap out of me!! That's where i want prepaints. That said i'm more a gamer then a modeler. I really enjoyed being ...

Thing is guys if you already have a collection of WW2 mini's you have huge choice of rules already. Most of the manafacturs have some basic rules and there are loads of sets of skirmish rules. Everyone (who does ww2) has a fav WW2 set, mine is Rules Of Engagement by great escape games. I know other ...

I didn't go in the end. I was going to go, then there were issues with trains, then i could lift- Yay! Then S&P 47 came out and i didn't see the point anymore. As a SST and BF:Evo player i didn't see any value in a long journey for 2 games that are on hold and stuff i don't play. I've been before bu...

Yeah, i have to admit i wasn't inspired by AT-43. It was ok but playing through the booklet left me a bit cold. I think i'd wait for more mini choice to be available before going down that route. Untill then the wargames budget is going to classic battletech and bolt action minis.

What I do not understand: Why not use grenades, shot, thrown or rocket powered, against enemies in cover? I know the Land Warrior suffered from too weak grenades. In the Bundeswehr they used to shoot though cover with MG3 and G3. Both slugs go trough walls well. That worked good in urban combat. Ma...
