All my Traveller games dating back to the 80s have been in the Spinward Marches and more recently (last 4 years) the Trojan Reaches. I can see why a setting neutral design sequence would have them.

It would be good to see the crossover between ships, small craft, grav vehicles and aircraft described for the Third Imperium.

Loosely related question, has anyone sat down and written the economics of the Third Imperium to a point where we know how much can be spent on naval ships? The Traveller Wiki has GDP numbers for the Imperium, hence puts a rough limit on spending. Reputably GT has the most detailed economic model. ...

If my memory serves me correctly, the accelerator rifle was originally designed as a low recoil weapon for shipboard/low gravity use with a low charge to launch the projectile that has a rocket motor kick in to accelerate the round. The shorter range of 25m makes more sense with the original purpose.

The barrel already is the heat sink, the problem is it can't bleed heat fast enough. Maybe with nano or some other kind of unknown (so far) high tech we can build ceramic barrels that aren't fragile!
