Well, I'll probably download the rules, but mostly to see if I can convert a setting I'm interested in to this system.

I believe dogs still eat some vegetables. I've heard that cats (all of them) are the closest there is to a truly carnivorous land mammal. That said, even livestock-based agriculture has seasons through the year, at least lower tech ones. Generally, the babies are born in the spring, and most of the ...

On the subject of other dog behaviors, what about eating habits? I think every dog I've seen eats really fast. I mean practically inhaling their food. Would Vargr still do this? When meeting, I imagine they would sniff. Probably each others noses, kinda like cats do. They might do a hug and sniff th...

My instructors would tell all kinds of stories about stupid people doing stupid things with mines (and artillery shells and just about anything you can think of. We had some of those people as patients when I served as a medic with our forces. I'm sure you medics saw a lot of those people. Kinda li...

Isn't this already being done in human public bathrooms?!? If it's a more mainstream form of communication, I would hope that more useful of comments would be left. I do, however, like the idea of a Vargr checking to make sure he/she has a marker before going to the rest room... :D Sevya

Thank you, Matt, for the clarifications. Your point #4 alleviates my concerns, specifically the point that the rules will still be used, just in newer products. Will the OGL still be available?

But how are we supposed to get these things going at local clubs if the products are constantly disappearing? This is one of my issues with this. I just worked up interest in World at War. On top of that, I just started working on a couple of settings, too. They say they're releasing some new minia...

I really like the Ground Zero Games High Tech Grav Tank better. It just has a more "Third Imperium" feel to me. The Advanced Grav Tank has the look I think of for Zhodani, too.

6mm works well for team-based games, like classic Striker, and your figures look great. I prefer individually based figures, and I feel that 15mm works better for that. I realize that BFE does not have the ground and figure scales the same, and I have decided to live with that.

Tank Assault?

I've played a lot of Starship Troopers, and a little Modern Combat. I just bought the World at War rules, and have a question about Tank Assault. Tank assault gives all members of a squad Anti-Tank Explosives, a One-Shot weapon. Does this mean that each squad member may make one such attack? Or, rat...

Ah well you see I never got any of those magazines - I stuck with the Classic Traveller books and played most of my Traveller with only books 1 to 5 on their own. Although I owned most of the Supplements and Adventures I hardly ever used them. There was something magical about the first five books,...

Do these errata apply to the Central Supply Catalog as well? I am specifically referring to the armour stats, which seem to follow the un-errata'ed Mercenary for the items in both.

I had a hard time finding that, too. I looked at the paragraph and saw that it was talking about bays, not turrets, and moved on without reading the whole thing.

The formula for Mongoose is (Attribute/3)-2. Round down for the division. If you don't want to deal with the math, it would be +3 for 15-17, +4 for 18-20, +5 for 21-23, and so on. 45 would be +13.

I agree on the 15mm, but would prefer not factory painted. I don't care much between plastic or metal if the plastic is rigid, like what was used on the Starship Troopers minis.

I'm all for 15mm. I've thought for a while that Ground Zero Games would be a good manufacturer for them. The already make good figures in both 15mm and 25mm, and are good at working with, or around, licenses.

I've been of the list for a while. This is a project I've been working on for some time. It appears I've done some things a little differently, as would be expected. I have some simple force lists for the Imperial Marines, Solomani Army, Mercenaries and the Zhodani. I'm working on some Vargr stuff r...

True, but the Autorifle is an "8mm" (i.e. 7.62mm) weapon, which should get the +3 damage bonus over the standard 3d6 (5mm or 5.56mm NATO weapon). A heavy ACR (9mm Liquid Prop or ETC, though this isn't specified) does 4d6 standard, so this seems fair. However, the self-loading rifle uses the same am...
