Yes. But the rules for hardpoints specifically say the weapon consumes no space within the vehicle.

The armour value isn't total armour, it's armour per facing. An armour rating of 8 means 8 armour front, 8 sides, and 8 rear. You can then move the armour around a bit. In the example, the rear armour was reduced by 2 to increase the front by 2 (8 - 2 = 6; 8 + 2 = 10).

The special rules for traits can be found on page 4. And as Annatar Giftbringer mentioned, only special rules require a trait. No special rule, no traits needed.

Both the directed plasma and plasma ammo (CSC pages 139 & 141) grant AP x3/x2. But what about weapons that don't have an AP trait?

Surely plasma ammo will give non-AP weapons AP potential, yes?

What caliber did you have in mind? The Cannon is 1DD, Blast 10 and 2.5 t. The Heavy Autocannon (~65 mm) is 1DD and 1 t. The Medium Autocannon (~40 mm) is 8D and 0.5 t. The Light Autocannon (~20 mm) is 6D and 0.25 t. Even a ~50 mm Cannon should have 8D? I didn't have any specific calibre in mind, ju...
