I believe that sales have slowed a bit at my LGS. Most of the complaints are about the price. $29.95 for 6 - 8 minis is a bit much. I've also seen tanks at Toys R Us that are painted as well and very close to the same scale for less than half the cost. Some of made comment about the paint jobs. The ...

Except for the text on the back of the cards I'm just about done. I have a couple of clean up things to do which should take me about an hour or two. Here's my question. Will anyone miss the Special Rules on the back of the cards since you should have the cards anyway? Is it worth holding up the fil...

Errr the USMC need at least 2 Shadows to transport a squad, and as many as 4.  I just caught that myself. I don't normally play US (still waiting for my wave 1 stuff to arrive). I'm going to look at this tonight and see if there is a solution with the way I've been doing it, otherwise,...

I did get a little closer last night to putting the beta version out. Still left: - Multiple platoons based on points - Supporting Artillery option for all - Civilian Troops option for MEA - True Believers option for MEA - Text from back of cards (almost all) I'm considering a change to how I do tra...

Actually, I'm fairly close. Here is what I have left to do: - Finish with the text on the cards. At first I was concerned with putting all the text from the cards into the file until I saw that MGP put the cards on their website. - Finish the MEA army construction rules. The others are essentially d...

Re: Messed up DD allocation.

If you are rolling DD seperatly then you must allocate them seperatly, otherwise there is no point to rolling them seperatly, so how should they be allocated? My suggestion would be allocate them to the model in the FZ closest to the shooting model. instead of unit. If you choose to resolve the sho...

Yikes! I just went back and read that. Not sure how I missed it. Under the original SST rules, even if only one model in the target unit is denied cover by at least 1 model in the shooting unit, then all models in the target are denied cover. Rather extreme but it was clean. Now this just made thing...

One of the problem with these "House Rules" is that you need your opponent to agree to them up front.

My group already believes the MEA are broken (I've not lost many games playing MEA) so I doubt they would agree to this.

Your DD allocation should be pretty straight forward. Those weapons that can target specific models in a FZ, i.e. snipers and tank shots against armour should have their DD allocated first. Then start allocating the rest with the highest scoring DD against the model closest to the firing unit. Since...

I have all the stats done for the initial release and I'm working on the new stuff. After that, I will need to put the army construction rules in. It shouldn't take me long but with everything I've got going on, I haven't had much time to work on it. Now that I know there is some interest, I will pu...

I now have an EFTF Armoured Company which I've used the last couple of times I've played. This has been a solid force with two Challengers, an HQ and an infantry squad both in Warriors. As our games increase in points, I will add the SAS and probably another infantry unit.

There is also another advantage to split units into fire teams. If you deploy fire teams such that two (Team A and Team B) are mingled, such as: A B A B A B A B A single shoot actions must then allocate dice to multiple units. You get some of the advantages of having two separate units and it become...

Depending on the cover available on the board I coupld stop that fairly easy I am sure... Cool Mind you I could also take an armoured company of my EFTF and laugh at you (well untill your Feds and RPG gunners got close) Have to admit, that armoured companies did give me some grief until I re-read t...

Imagine, my technical comes cround a corner and spotting a full squad of PLA infantry decides to hoy on anchors and open up with its MG. Its currently obscured (partly hidden behind a wall) so it has a target of 7+. The PLA are in such a position that the PF-89 gunners are at the rear of the squad....

Remember you still have to place DD on the models closest to the firing unit and work back. If the enemy leader is in the back, and IF you somehow have LOS to him, you would have to place that FZ 6" behind him to make sure he was the one closest to the firing unit. In my games that seems to be near...

Ok. I thought ages ago Matt said if you lost your leader and were double suppressed you were in a world of hurt for 2 rounds. I must be confused. ..., though a model may only ever lose a maximum of two actions, even if both Suppressed and out of command. Since losing the leader results in the unit ...

Example 2: PLA infantry squad is already loaded in the WZ-551 IFV, and a enemy unit finishes it action within 10". Because a squad loaded does not count as being on the table, only the WZ-551 could react, but the card states the WZ can not react. SO there is no reaction to the enemy. Just a point o...
