Re: New Map Packs on Drivethru

I would probably buy hard copy if available. I would definitely buy PDF copies (of these and all previous and future map packs) if they had a printer friendly version included - prints with a plain white paper background; basic grid and planets, names etc in black; and optional layers for colour stu...

Also - Mongoose and Warlord do Judge Dredd minis. Most are setting specific but some might be re-purposable?

Re: sci fi miniature suggestions?

In 28mm I've got a very good range of SF and near future (suitable for SF) minis from Heresy, Hasselfree, Mantic, EM4, Games Workshop, RAFM, Reaper, Wargames Factory, Foundry, Antenocitis Workshop, Victory Force, Westwind, Statuesque Miniatures, FourA, Empress, Bronze Age, and probably a number of o...

Re: Loaded vs. Unloaded M-ratings

This thread is a perfect demonstration of the sad truth that the worst enemy Traveller (any and all versions) has as it tries to attract positive attention and new players is actually the existing player/fan base. As somebody who would like to see Traveller grow in popularity I think this thread is...

Re: First impressions – 2300AD – Tools for Frontier Living

Just to pitch in - I had been on the fence re TfFL having seen various reviews and comments on the 'quality' of the art, but was interested anyway as I love the 2300 lowish to mid tech thing. Those examples however are absolute **** and make the book a definite no for me. Mongoose should be seriousl...

Re: Drinaxi Wyvern

I've been thinking of, and vaguely doodling, a Wyvern (or Harrier plus as I thought of it before it had an official name) of 1400 - 1800 Dtons, which had Orbital bombardment capability, decent point defence, good armour, some decent attack capacity (P Barbettes at least), 4-5 Thrust, 2-3 Jump, 2 Cut...

*ahem* Didn't you get the memo? Seems the civilians and bureaucrats back home don't so much like the term 'jump and clobber' so we are now referring to such operations as either 'arrive and supress' or 'sweep and clear' - are we all OK with that?

Sort of this, but I'd also be interested in non 3I and sort of B5/Aliens (the movie) type tehcnology as well.

Re: Prime Directive...

I am NOT working on a Traveller-specific supplement. I am doing a set of deck plans that can be printed in any game, be it GURPS or D20 or Traveller or whatever. Do the deckplans you are developing use Traveller standard sizes/assumptions for rooms and facilities? What floorplan/area does a typical...

Classic Traveller, Mongoose Traveller, and I'd probably play a houseruled sort of Savage Worlds type version as well.

Re: 2200AD

I've been thinking of something similar - using around 2200 as a starting point. Rather than using the 2300 universe however I'm thinking of extrapolating on from the 2100 Orbital setting - so keeping nuclear rockets, spin habitats, no grav technology, and space is big and dangerous to be in etc and...

Re: Question on Traveller: Orbital

Just picked up Orbital - and have only skimmed bits of it so far; but this is I think one of the best Traveller supplements I've seen. A very well worked near future setting that makes sense.
