Then it might be fair to say this thread is not for you. . .
I keep hoping that you might get it right one day.

I make this simple as not to get the post removed. I don't want any stat cards from this company. Most are too far fetched for my taste. Case in point. HMMVW is a armored vehicle that can be targeted easier than a civilian pickup truck.... A LAV, that has the kill rating of a top of the line PLA MBT...

Well throw your two bits in. Other opinions are welcome. As long as you can back them up with something other than well I saw, a movie....., or some other non-informed reason. If I am wrong on a subject, I have no problem someone pointing it out with useful information. How can someone improve, unl...

Since I notice my post keeps getting removed, I'll chime in again and say, LISTEN TO PIETIA, if you will not listen to me. smg 4" (that makes it a effective 10" with the FZ) more than enough. rifle 30" (again that is a effective 36" with FZ you could even make it 36" which will make it effective at ...

Why be sorry I could follow that either. More like rabbling from the mind then clear writing.

Richgo. 30" is fine. Agreed.

Just a discussion of Command control issues. This time period has radios at Platoon or higher levels. Not at squad. I suggest two things.

1. Command Control 6".

2. Normal FZ 8 to 10".

Thoughts?

I can live with the smg 2xD6 thing without suppression changes. But, I warn that it may become too powerful if used in mass. 4 to 6" maximum.

I wouldn't use the advance extended range rules from BFE in a WW2 game. It doesn't reflext the era.

Except for the calm down comment, I basically with you. I'm very calm, just pointing out the absurdity of some reasoning. I still would refer to having the SMG a 1D6 weapon, with the ablity to have SMG hits to remove the casualites BEFORE suppression. Otherwise large units with SMGs will in my opini...

Sorry, most roads were small. Most people did not own a car, and streets were very narrow. Too narrow for military vehicles except small ones. There was little to NO parking, and people walked and lived within 10 miles of small towns. When I was a boy, most of the roads around me had no parking area...

Yep, Here is what I would want to see personally for SMGs. Range 4" to 6" maximum. Damage 1xD6 Suppression 2+, remove casualities from SMG fire before checking for Suppression. (This will really make suppression more likely without having a bunch of extra rules) CC dependant on how you do other troo...

Oh!, one last thing. Since the SMG is really a assault weapon/close combat weapon. Why not keep the range very short, but give it bonuses in CC?

Your reason one makes no since to me, what does it matter about the FZ? So you have to get close to use the SMG. Bad enough that the weapon will get extra mileage due to the FZ it will create. It's not like the firer can hurt himself or the unit he is with. If you want to beef up the weapon I'd rath...

As for No Gyostablisation is a penalty for Firing and Moving in the same turn. Some of the later US Tanks did have some Gyostabilisation Gear [A Perk maybe] Posible Modifiers to keep it simple. If you moved -1 If they Moved -1 If you and them Moved -2 To much record keeping to suit me. Just a simpl...

Pietia, has it right.

If you must show the difference, it would be much simpler to have a -1 to Target/Kill IF the tank did or will be going to move during it's turn. Cuts out a bunch of stuff.

Agree on the very short SMG ranges but think that suppression might be an idea for them, as large units of SMG equiped soldiers would have a suppressive factor, so.. what about one dice of suppression per 3 or 4 SMGs used. represents the effectiveness of multiple automatic weapons fire. How many of...

Okay, I have the Force Recon card in hand. It doesn't say 90 degrees, it says "forward facing" . I assumed that it meant 90 degrees since we have a template. I guess you could fight over what makes up "forward facing". I also think there's a diagram of a vehicle's firing arcs. It may call them faci...
