Illustration and rough concept: Personal Aerodyne

Another "personal" vehicle, this one isnt for the faint of heart...It's a personal/wearable vector thrust "vehicle" http://img13.deviantart.net/c18b/i/2017/050/d/5/personal_aerodyne_by_wbyrd-daznnzn.png the pilot straps into it and is supported by the straps while he flies. hHand control and a basic...

I think the OP wanted an IFV for the Patrol Corvette and similar applications. It's expected to operate alone.

So some anti-vehicle capability is probably a good idea.
AH well that would make sense :D

Re: G/Carrier, light

They will settle on the Light Autocannon... Thanks! It seems to me the gauss cannon is superior in every way except ammo capacity, so I'll stick with it for now - with extra ammo... The Gauss Cannon is very good. Fragmentation will not do much against armoured infantry, perhaps fuel-air ammo? TL10 ...

Re: Illustration: Low Berth

Looks great, but I'm not sure about the half dton of space. The pods themselves look about right, but most items are supposed to include equal amounts of equipment space and access space. Thanks I appeciae that :D I wanted to keep this system as compact and centralized as possible. I reasoned that ...

Re: MgT HG 2e Docking Clamps Question

Morning PST wbnc, Jeraa, Condottiere, and phavoc, Thank you all for replying and I was lucky that my first reply post to wbnc and Jeraa went missing. In MgT CRB 2e the available range bands, p. 151, for spacecraft does not have very close listed as an option. The closest range band is Adjacent whic...

Re: MgT HG 2e Docking Clamps Question

Morning PST, According to the MgT HG 2e Docking Clamp write-up "It takes three full rounds to release or clamp a ship of less than 2,000 tons, during which time neither ship can expand any Thrust or make any attack rolls. Larger ships take D3+3 rounds." How does the ship that will be carrying anoth...

One of those illustrations I did as a visual reference for my games. The Ubiquitous low berth. If ya have to travel, yer broke and you don't mind the risk of waking up missing a few toes.I went with a battered sort of industrial look for this model. You can imagine they have been shuffled, moved, lo...

Well, I had this on y hard drive for a while. I finally figured with Vehicle rules coming out I'd finish it up. This is a higher end version with full contra grav, and a nicer paint job than the patrol car from Blade Runner...Give the patrol section some time, they'll have it properly dirtied up and...

I would add a bit about it being unable to function on any surface other than snow and ice without modification...great thing about the image you picked is that it could be fitted with wheels, or even floats instead of skis :D

Had a chance to look over the new book last night. So far so good :D might be pulling out hair later when I try to do more complex builds but for off the cuff designs its not bad at all.

Re: Illustration: Military Grav Vehicles

Mostly off topic: It would be cool to see a few kinds of ship innards. I drew a few parts, top down and side view two-dimensional, in Inkscape. - A power plant, based on some GURPS Traveller assumptions, most notably the idea that a fusion plant includes its own fuel supply for 200 years of operati...

Re: Illustration: Military Grav Vehicles

I'll run it through gimp to tweak the contrast and brightness once I have it finalized... one issue with doing things on one monitor and people viewing it on another type of screen is that it may look totally different to the other person. Funny, now that I'm lookingat it again on the same screen i...

Re: Illustration: Military Grav Vehicles

Good stuff, but on my phone screen the contrast is rather low, and overall it's a bit dark. I could repeat my opinion on turrets for primary weapons, but maybe that doesn't apply at this generation of vehicle. I'll run it through gimp to tweak the contrast and brightness once I have it finalized......
