Been suggested. There is a patent issue that is being sorted out in the courts(has it been resolved yet?) between Wizkids and WotC. WotC has a patent on the idea and Wizkids preemptively sued them over Pirates stating that the patent is dumb (simplified by my mind). Hmm, maybe I'll have to see how ...

Re: Re viewed episode wierdness

So, does anyone know what happened to Loriens ship when he passed on to the Rim? What, that old hunk of junk? It was probably the oldest ship this side of the rim. A used-starship saleman wouldn't want it. On a more serious note, if it was "alive" (never mentioned), it would have followed th...

Wow Bu! That is a nice setup. That's about 3/4 of the board showing. I was eventually going to do an S&P writeup of the project. Here's a bit of a pull-back to the 1st board section. I had been using an Old Crow lander as a Skyhook proxy. There is a very tiny bit of its nose showing next to wash-ou...

No need for the contra rotating section to be accessible, it would simply be a spinning mass contained within the habitable rotating section to counteract the spin effects. LBH Indeed. Too bad the Centauri invented Antigrav. They could have used the Narn as "spinning ballast". Since we seem t...

There are other ways to counteract the effects of spin than thrusters, but it would need to be taken into account, yes. LBH My solution to that would be two sections with opposite spin. It's what the Russians did on many of their heli designs and it makes sense. It gets rid of the need for a tail r...

Suck vaccum GAIM. Actually, Warrior-breed Gaim can survive a pretty long time in the void. That, and breaching marines should have sealed armour - otherwise they could not board ships that have alternate atmospheres. Anyway, back to work! Bry ...and thus a new term is born. A "Minbari Standoff". :w...

Thanks :). I'm sad I didn't have the funds to go for the Skyhook studio model. In the film there was one that was next to washout lane and I had a spot set aside for it on my Camp Arthur Currie board.

That and some misinformation (e.g. it was meant to be a Primus, not a Vorchan attacking the G'Quan in In the Beginning) don't help build a reliable picture. Ah, now THAT makes more sense. I've always wondered if that Centauri ship had a weapons officer that had the reborn soul of a dead Klingon tha...

Aniyn should just love your answer. As for me, I think I'll just scratch make one someday. Sheet plastic would go a long way for most of it.

If Mongoose produce things like these, they should be onto a winner. http://www.worldworksgames.com/wormhole/whpb1.html It's certainly one way to go. I suggested several ideas along those lines, using either a card-stock box shape or elevating a flat counter onto Mongoose's new clear plastic bases....

Shut up....some of us are bidding on that!

I was basing my comment on seeing Matt say somewhere that the book was almost finished. They also had the new SST rules done and Matt mentioned that they would be made available for d/l.

Another thing to try based on Foxmeister's example might be to try something loosely based on the "command range" rule in Starship troopers. Each side has a designated flagship for command and control (where the admiral is located). Establish an "initiative range" (something like an 18"-24" radius) ...

That does make sense but it is also entirely possible that there actually is something between the galaxies that we just don't know about and don't understand. Especially if ancients have been going there since the beginning. Even if there originally was just empty space there, billions of years wo...

Adrian, that's what I call a "sector 14" paint job (a good thing in case you're wondering). :D

Best to you on your new journeys.

It might be possible to see that painting guide released on PDF, if Matt decides to do that.

It would have been nice to have indented edge marks in the new clear bases, but you could still print a decal and glue it under the clear base disk.

I'm modding my 2" bases by stacking a 2" 'fender' washer over the stem. I'm adding eight registration marks around the edges of both the base and the washer. For a 45-degree turn you'd then shift over one mark. Thus, a turning key of sorts is integrated into the base. There is an added bonus that th...
