Re: Tech Level 8 Solar System

Tom, please keep posting your stuff. Here's the link: http://img10.deviantart.net/edd2/i/2016/213/e/e/orbit_chart_h_saturn_by_tomkalbfus-dac778r.png this is what I would enclose in [img]'s if I wanted to post it here, it is a chart of Saturn at the 5000 mile per square scale. As you can see there a...

Re: Alpha Male

"Look at that view Connell" said Jerrald. "Tell me what you see." Theodore took a moment before replying. "Uh, the city, lots of buildings, business as usual." Caught off guard by the tone in Jerrald's voice. "No, really look - look at how fragile it all is, how vulnerable. Completely ignorant of th...

Re: How should I play it?

Not taking the piss. Just want to try it for a laugh It will fail. Best advice I can give you is: don't. Just don't. The second your interpretation runs headlong into one of the PC's interpretation of the settings (presumably the players might be familiar with the settings), it will all fall apart....

Re: A Traveller Miniatures Game?!!

Where did you see this? D'oh. I must learn to read - it is on the upcoming releases section - but when you click on the link to upcoming releases there is no mention of it... I don't see it I see it - main page, under the piccy, are 3 headers, under them, 3 lists. The third one, 'Upcoming releases'...

Re: White Dwarf Traveller Articles

I think it possible that you might be able to find pdf copies of the White Dwarf's in question - however, I should point out these would be of doubtful legality. The rights to the non-Warhampster stuff reverted to the Authors, and what is posted there are the Articles by Andy Slack as Posted by And...

I think it possible that you might be able to find pdf copies of the White Dwarf's in question - however, I should point out these would be of doubtful legality. Having said that, if you can find the original's, they are well worth a look and unlikely to ever be reprinted (given that you'd need both...

Re: Sword Worlders

The Saxons, Angles and the other Germanic tribes along the European coast probably right up to Denmark had a very long tradition of raiding, going back to before the Roman invasion of Britain (in fact the famous Viking longship is basically a larger version of the Germanic ship, with a keel), they w...

Here's a little beastie that I just put together now. Astute players will recognise my source material :) PINBACK’S MARSH BALL A small omnivore hunter found on several worlds in the Spinward Marches, feeling most at home in swampy or wet environments. Excellent climbers, Marsh Balls spend the major...

Why do you need them?) Why do you need to know why I need them? Obviously I do because I asked. Does the reason why I need them have any bearing on if you have them? Heh. I think the question may have been loosely or incorrectly worded, perhaps this might be more accurate: "If it's just a stylised ...

Re: Chamax in 2nd Ed (spoilers?)

We must have the Chamax brought in to 2nd Ed as the iconic Traveller space monster! Hey, if ALIEN can be obliterated at the end of each movie and be somewhere else in the next, so can the Chamax! 'Horde' has a built-in mechanism for doing exactly that! :D Wonder if Mongoose could get the rights to ...

Re: Chamax in 2nd Ed (spoilers?)

there would have to be a start a middle and an end to the adventure with a swarm. Obviously the start is how the characters meet them, the middle is fighting them against increasingly overwhelming odds or whatever, and the end would be getting saved or finding some way out of the situation. If you ...

Re: Mongoose News - Warriors of Antiquity from Victrix

Reading between the lines, I'm guessing that this is still a few months away (I'm trying to not be too impatient, lol!), so I was wondering if either Matt or the chaps from Victrix might be good sports and give out a little bit more in the way of teasers? Now I wasn't at Salute when Victrix were dem...

Re: Chamax in 2nd Ed (spoilers?)

It's basically the film 'Alien' or 'Aliens' monster adapted for Traveller. Use the 12+ damage/tough armour rule for individual Chamax attacks to emphasize how hard to kill they are (and to increase the tension), then go with what is easier and simpler (for you) if they mass attack. This should not b...

Re: Mongoose News - Warriors of Antiquity from Victrix

Presumably, with them being a figures manufacturer, they'll have been holding off the release until they have figure sets ready for most of the factions. Still quite looking forward to this, though.
