Re: Legend App

You might want to run it by Matt at Mongoose first. I'm not sure what the OGL has to say about computer programs. The Traveller OGL specifically forbids them. I checked the OGL (which I have to say is pretty naff!) and there's no mention of phone/computer programs at all. Basically all it says is t...

Re: Increasing the Distaff Share

I have several female gamers in my Legend: Ancient Stones game over on RPGGeek. In my opinion I think you are worrying needlessly. You can't force people to play a game, be they female, gay, Neanderthal, or a politician. It's almost as crazy as Englands "We don't have enough black people in the poli...

Re: Are there any female RPG'ers on this forum?

Well the Legend: Ancient Stones game I am running on RPGGeek has several females on it, but I don't think any of them are here. But there are certainly plenty of female gamers on that site and we've rarely had problems - they even have their own Guild! :) I will also kick ass on anyone who singles p...

Legend App

Now I've never made an app before.

But I'm thinking of cutting my teeth on a character creation app for Legend.

It could be a complete and utter failure, I don't know yet.

However does anyone have any tips/idea/suggestions/requests/viewpoints...?

Re: Spells of Legend

I'm glad to see that people get some use out of it! Yup, it's been fun creating spells for it, and every game I run seems to use at least three or four of the spells! I wish I could just randomly think of new spells like Prime Evil manages too, but my brain doesn't work like that - it prefers to th...

Re: Stun Bubble

I'm more than happy to help with Spells of Magic as usual. Thanks for the offer - we should kickstart the project again. At least Alex is still keeping the flame alight! (Previous quote name corrected lol) I did just post a nice spell to the thread, but it got swallowed on the previous page so not ...

Re: Spells of Legend

So I just came up with a spell 'on the fly' in my Legend: Ancient Stones game. One of the bad guys, a member of the "Raven cult" was captured by the good guys. Their priest bared down on him and used Influence to try to get the man to tell him where the entrance to the bolt-hole in the Avebury stone...

Re: Stun Bubble

Be sure to add them to the Spells of Legend! :D *sigh* I really need to finish the next major update - unfortunately real life has kept me very busy for the past few months. I'm hoping that things will clear over the next month or so as I complete my Master's Degree :P Real Life takes priority! :D ...

Nice! :)

Now if only I could afford just over £9....:(

It might take me a while to be able to afford to buy this. But I look forward to that day.

Re: Prosthetics In Legend

One of my characters had his arm amputated as a child in his backstory. (he was a Blacksmith's son and is now a blacksmith himself). He has a arm section with hook on the end as a replacement. Doesn't slow him down any and gives him a fall-back weapon should he need it.

Re: Legend Printed Release Schedule

And what about an update to Spider God Bride, Cults - The Dark Mother?? I sent you that proofread months ago LOL :) (I hate to harp on I really do, but there were some quite big errors in there in stat blocks, and a ton of minor errors....!) I will get to proofreading the other SGB books sometime......

Re: Swashbuckling Adventurers - Are they Viable?

Nothing moves quickly at Mongoose lol

I sent them proof read updates for Sheoloth cults 2 months ago and still havn't received notice of an update!

Do the work and send it in for them - I think an update is more likely if the work is already done and they don't have to actually do it! :)

Legend on Google+ Communities

Hi Mongoose and all Legend users. I noticed a complete lack of a Legend community on Google+ and so I have set one up. I called it "Legend (Mongoose)" as if you type in just Legend you get a bazillion hits for other stuff. I figure including Mongoose in there will help people hone their search patte...

Re: Legend 2014 - Cults of Sheoloth: the Killer

Looking very nice so far! Just a few points: It craws the priestesses of the Dark Mother that they must treat these males as equal, but for some reason it is their goddesses’ command and those who disobey find themselves executed by a man working for the Killer’s church. 'Craws'??? craw (krô) n. 1. ...
