Re: Block War Tweaks

Another question. The Slippery talent this time, plus arrests in general. If the Hero is ever arrested, make an Agility check. If the Hero succeeds, it manages to escape even judicial custody and returns to his force as normal. This caught my eye, and it's got me thinking about the rules for arrests...

Re: Battle Report - Campaign Night

We have one hero currently at level 9, that's my Lone Vigilante who had a head start over everyone else. As far as I'm aware we don't have anyone else at that level, but we do have a few heroes at level 8 and 7. I've also uploaded a copy of my force roster . I've asked the rest of the campaign if th...

Re: Battle Report - Campaign Night

I'm happy to share mine, I'll get it into a format where I can post it (it's hand-written right now).

In terms of the forces chosen, right now we have the following:

1 x Lone Vigilante (mine)
2 x Renegade Robots
1 x Justice Department
1 x Cal's Retinue
1 x Citi-Def
1 x Zombie Horde

Rules Question - Inspiring

Does the bonus to Will checks from the Inspiring talent stack if a model is within range of 2 or more heroes with the talent?

Re: Battle Report - Campaign Night

There's a link to my blog in the first post on this topic. We don't have any forces that have really been hammered. One of our justice department players has taken a few significant casualties as have the citi-def and I think we've had a couple of robots decommissioned. But on the whole, there have ...

Equipment for Loyal Followers

One Mercenary that has fought alongside the force in a past battle may be taken into the force as a permanent member, allowing them to be bought weapons, armour and equipment , Given that most mercenaries have no listed options for equipment, and those that do are extremely limited, how does this w...

Re: Battle Report - Campaign Night

Everybody has a campaign goal, they're different based on the forces involved but all of equivalent difficulty. The problem is, we've got to forces of this size after only a dozen games or so (at most, most of us have played considerably fewer than that) and nobody's got to their goal yet. And if Ma...

Battle Report - Campaign Night

Just added a report on tonight's campaign games to my blog . Some of the forces involved in this campaign are getting silly. We have a Renegade Robot force worth over 2600 credits, my own Vigilantes are worth over 2800 (there are 4 models) and if our resident zombie player spends all of his spare cr...

Re: Block War Tweaks

A question that came up in discussion tonight: If a Citi-Def soldier fails his will check after taking a shoot action for his second action in a turn, does that mean that his first action next turn must be a shoot action? If the answer is yes, what happens if he gets charged in the meantime and star...

Re: Brit-Cit Judges and Duel Shooter

A couple of the beat judges look like they'd be simple enough to convert with a second pistol.

Re: Campaign roster sheet

The new campaign system in Block War is based on the old GoMC1 rules. Most of the roster sheets are geared towards this campaign system, not the one in the JDMG rulebook.

Re: Block War Tweaks

Plus a cheeky request: Is there any chance of adding the Pyrokinetic to the mercenary list for Lone Vigilantes? Being able to field the Human Torch would be cool. :-)

Re: Block War Tweaks

Couple of "bugs": Judge DeMarco has Armour Cracker and Critical Shot, despite not having any of the prerequisite talents or a rifle weapon to use them with. She also has the talent Defensive Fire. What is this, I can't find the rules for it anywhere? Judge Anderson has Mind Bomb, despite not meeting...

WereRogue wrote:Thanks, CC. I'm assuming that a removed Merc provides an equal number of XP as per regular models in a gang, correct?

That's correct. You get the same amount of XP, whether the target is a mercenary or not.

Re: Dual Wield talent

This has been asked and answered before. You pick one pistol, roll the dice for that weapon and just add +1 to the damage score. You don't roll any dice for the second weapon. I did try and find this question on the forum, but after 8 pages, I thought it might just be quicker to check. We thought as...

Re: Gang Rosters

If I've got any criticism, it's that the boxes for equipment and talents are a little on the small side. You can fit a lot of equipment on a Lone Vigilante or a hero with the Wealth talent.

Looks great. Mobs, higher-level heroes and more points than last time. Should be a bit different.
