Encounters with the inquisition (in Deus Vult) have been a little unsettling. I think dark covers it. But the Templars take the award for brooding.
I'm not a user of chain swords. But don't find them any more of an issue than the likelihood of being hit by an orc or, indeed, a fireball.

Ok, understand and thanks.
Yes, I agree , the tactical element (from the mat) is the real key to a lot of our major encounters.
It's the clarification in this context that is important.

Could it not still make a difference if some areas of the NPC are less well armoured than others?

Deleriad is spot on re the tweaking - more a case of polishing rather than re-shaping.

It is much more challenging when you can't reply on a "cure critical wounds" or "lifesaving stim pack" or similar..

And also, not sure if this has been answered but I haven't seen it, will the second half of "Hoffmann's lost Device" (or similar naming) be published before the hiatus?

Yep, that could be nasty.
But going back to your suggestion that the impaler's brawn roll could be on a subsequent turn (and not a "reflexive" CA as part of the same attack), I'd suggest making the brawn roll opposed if the impalee chooses to use a CA.

You could try coupling impale (especially upper body) with a trip, should the opportunity occur..

How well would C&C material fit with an existing Deus Vult campaign?

It was an abbreviation of Laughs My Ass Off (or similar wording).
As in, I thought your previous comment was very funny.

I'm looking forwards to see what Mongoose Matt & co bring out into Wayfarer. Although they're "leaving the rules untouched", I'm hoping the charge rules will get a formal clarification..

Only just stumbled across this thread.. interesting news indeed.

Ok, if someone needs a proof reader for Wayfarer or Deus Vult, I'll volunteer.
