Since the Medic skill itself tells you to go to page 74, I'd use the numbers there. So 2x the effect.

And the Traveller SRD doesn't include the skill examples, so makes no mention of the First Aid section under the Medic skill on page 56. It does have the 2x Effect from page 74 though.

Since it just says "damage", either one could be correct. But, with the weapon damages listed, scaling the damage points seems to make more sense.

Not a 35 displacement ton weapon. Its a 35,000 kilogram weapon, so weights 35 tones. According to the vehicle creation books, a 35,000 kilogram weapon takes up 11 cubic meters. A displacement ton is 13.5 cubic meters. So the Orbital Defense Gun is a 1 displacement ton weapon. Add in turret controls,...

My version is english, and says the same thing. And if it was dividing the damage dice by 50, not even the meson accelerator on page 105 of Mercenary can damage a starship. And thats the most powerful weapon I could find in the book. Edit: Also, the Aerospace Defense Laser (CSC, page 125) specifical...

Stupid rule, which results in weapons unable to damage a starship that should be able to. IF you divide total damage by 50 instead of dice, at least the heaver weapons can damage a ship.

Edit: If you look at the example combat, it does show the damage dice being divided by 50.

Does 20d6 /50 = A BIG FAT "ZERO" damage against a starship. . 20d6 averages to 70 points of damage. 70/50 = 1.4 damage on average. If you roll a maximum of 120, it would do 2.4 damage. And even a single point of damage is enough to get a Single Hit on an unarmored starship. Edit: And as rust mentio...

Very true :) Say I kept the life support costs then...how would you deal with scout ships exploring an uninhabited or uncivilised subsector without resupply?
Buy the supplies beforehand, and use some cargo space to store it.

All of this is going from memory, so may be totally wrong. The Interplanetary Transit Times Table (page 145) assumes constant acceleration to the midpoint, then constant decelleration to the end. Since we know we are acceleration and deceleration for a total of 16 hours, thats close enough to the 10...

Not true. A unaugmented human has a maximum score of 15. Scores higher than 15 are possible with augmentation, or to other races. (thats on page 6 in my book) And if you look in the aliens section (page 42) under Notable (Characteristic) it mentions the racial maximum going up. And on page 95, the c...

Depends. How much antimatter we talking about? Damage could range from a missile hit to "Wasn't there a ship there a moment ago?" According to the table I found Here , 1 milligram of antimatter is equivalent to 43 tons of TNT (equal to this ). One gram would be 43 kilotons, or more powerful than the...
