I don't think the Imperium would of interfered, provided the world was still able to pay its taxes. The Imperium does not really concern itself with the planet that much - it even lets individual member worlds go to war with each other. Provided, of course, they can both still pay their taxes. The I...

As for a conversion guide, its completely unneeded. Its simple enough to adapt an adventure to your system of choice. Or should thulsa include conversions for Conan d20 and 3.5 D&D (different enough from Pathfinder to include one). What about 1st and 2nd edition AD&D? I know there are people out the...

I assume a module cutter here, but the same rules would apply to any modular ship. Could treat it as a 20 ton ship (with docking clamps, and drives/power plant appropriate for a 50 ton ship). The modules would be priced as a 30 ton ship with the appropriate costs for whatever you put in it. Obviousl...

There is no reason to give women different stats than men. While men do tend to be stronger, nothing stops a woman from equaling a man. Instead of assigning stat penalties to women, when your creating your NPCs, just put their lower scores into Strength. Does the exact same thing you want to do, but...

Your forgetting about charging, where you move double your speed and still get an attack. So 60 feet in that round. That puts him next to you for an attack, and with normal weapons he could hit someone within 5' of him. To be out of range, you need to be at least 66 feet from someone with most melee...

S4, your mixing jobs with classes. There is a difference between a soldier (job), and a Soldier (class - note the capitalization.) Not every thief is a Thief, not all barbarians are Barbarians. One is mearly descriptive, the other determines a lot about the character. Conan is very much a class base...

Maybe I should of been clearer - I was suggesting someone with the same physical appearance as my 15 year old sister. That person could be a level 20 thief, or pirate, or something. Just saying, all other things being equal, a large muscle-bound person should be more intimidating that some slim teen...

I know its not RAW. Makes sense to me. But I can see why they made the game the way they did - its easier to remember a single ability score for each skill.

I'm not a fan of assigning a single ability score to a skill. I prefer something like what Mongoose did with their version of Traveller, add whatever ability score fits what the character is doing. For example, knowing how to make a piece of intricate jewelry wold be Intelligence, but actually makin...

Are you sure? My book says: Uncanny Dodge (barbarian ability): Retain dodge or parry bonus to Defense Value if caught flat footed or struck by invisible attacker. Reflexive Parry (feat): Retain parry bonus to Defense Value if caught flat footed or struck by invisible attacker. So in my book, not onl...

Well, I was suggesting someone like Conan physically - all muscles. Not necessarily with Conans experience (levels).

Right. Barbarians can not get the feat. However, they do get Uncanny Dodge at level 4, which does the exact same thing, and they get it 7 levels before those that need to take the feat to get it.

First of all - proper English. Learn it please. Second, anyone can say "I've done this" or "I've done that". You saying it isn't going to make me believe. Third - yeah, I referenced films and books. But that is exactly what the game is trying to duplicate. Not real life. I never claimed to be an exp...

The rules as they stand say my 15 year old sister and someone the size of Conan are both equally intimidating (Assuming equal Charisma scores). I don't know about you, but most people I would assume would be more scared of someone like Conan charging at them than my little sister. Even just standing...

More rules where there doesn't need to be any. If a character decides to continue on as normal, even though he has few hit points left, that's his prerogative. The GM can decide on NPC actions. Thats not the problem. The problem is, by the rules, if you have at least 1 hit point remaining you are a...

Nialldubh - 2) No, combat doesn't begin at the first shout. Not unless you we're tracking each move action, standard action, etc since they first began. Initiative is rolled and combat begins when someone actually decides to act (by attacking.) 4: Two Men 15ft apart, one with Long Spear and other wi...

If both are aware, that just means there is no surprise round. Basically, flat footed represents this: Everyone knows there is going to be a fight. Both sides are watching each other, not knowing when the fight will actually begin. One person suddenly acts, catching the other off guard for a split s...

You can't take a move action halfway through an attack action. Spring attack allows you to do the reverse, but that won't help in this situation. Also, you can't take a move action and have multiple attacks, so taking the 5' step would lose the guard all his remaining attacks anyway. Your only half...

I believe, if charisma penalties are used, then charisma bonuses should be used to. Something like, Strength determines your base level of scariness. Your Charisma determines how well you can use that innate scariness. Some (those with charisma bonuses) know how to get more out of their innate scari...
