And you can't get a detailed look at the economic details, as this is all just theory. If we had specific worlds, and trade goods to look at, then maybe something can be decided And even if proven non-viable (or viable) for a given area, it doesn't mean the same would work in another place. Which is...

Well, Vacc suits are armor. You can assume that if more damage is dealt to a character than the suit is capable of stopping, then a hole is created. Looking in my copy of the core rulebook, it mentions breaches, saying that "typical punctures from bullets, lasers, and even melee weapons will cause s...

No, I didn't change anything. It does only require two ships to cross the gap: the tender and the merchant. Switching cargo between ships requires 3. A one-way trip with a tender only requires 2 ships. It was mentioned the tender just sitting there doing nothing while the merchant was elsewhere. Tha...

It wouldn't have to wait. Remember I said in an earlier post this is not a solution for small time merchants - it is for larger merchants who would have transport routes, and several ships moving goods. So the tender ferries a ship across the gap and either waits for a third merchant vessel to short...

As has been mentioned, if you want to transport cargo over a long distance by plane, you use a truck to deliver the cargo to the plane and another truck to distribute the cargo once the plane has landed, but it would be a somewhat bizarre idea to transport the truck on the plane, too. Correct, beca...

Because then you would need 3 separate ships - the first merchant to deliver to the J4 ship, the J4 ship itself, and another merchant to get it to its destination (Assuming that the destination isn't the place the J4 ship arrives.) Plus, the J4 ship would need to be bigger in this model, as it would...

The key to this is size. The bigger the company, and the more worlds served, the better this become. If your just a small time merchant with 1 or 2 ships, its not for you.

As I pointed out before, the actual tender can be smaller then the ship its jumping with. Granted I didn't use High Guard, just what is in the core book, but the theory still stands. You don't need another ship, you basically need detachable jump drives with a fuel tank, which is what the tenders wi...

Unless said ship your are docking with was designed for that purpose, so had larger drives than would be necessary for just itself. It is essentially a battlerider, but with merchant craft. And stationed/only used at those areas where the smaller J2 merchant craft can not cross itself. Its basically...

Hmmm, must have missed the news about how we can propel ourselves in space without the use of reaction mass... Has it always been that way in Traveller? Well, in Classic Traveller, drive A didn't come around until TL9. But smallcraft were around since TL7. And since I believe the maneuver drives th...

Book 5 Agent also has the needeletto - a reinforced needle/knife weapon. The Central Supply Catalog includes monofilament weapons, which halve the effectiveness of armor. Also, flechette pistols, which are silent. And as far-trader said, the body pistol. Those are usually described as containing no ...

I couldn't find any rule that specifically mentions duel wielding. However, since attacking is a skill check, you could use the Multiple Actions rule (page 51 in my copy of the rules). Firing 2 weapons would mean both get a -2 DM on the attack for each weapon. The rules on page 61 (under Attack ) sp...

An attack of opportunity is still provoked, however the target can't actually make one as he is flat footed.

Unless I'm missing something, Bull's Charge only gets one attack, but with a +2 bonus on damage. Leaping Charge is the one that gets 2 attacks.

Melee (blades) covers the use of all blades.

What the entries in the CSC show is the range of the weapon. Some of the tables may be misnamed. Small Blade range has a -1 on attacks at close range, while Large Blade attacks have a -1 penalty at personal range.

Where does it say that? Not in the 1st edition or 2nd edition book. Primative is just a quality - it doesn't effect what the weapon is. A simple weapon is still a simple weapon, weather it is a normal version, a primative one, or a high quality one. Nothing says the quality of the weapon changes wha...

Why should conversion notes be provided for Conan? I wouldn't say its a dead game, but its at least at negative hit points. Both Pathfinder and Conan use the d20 system, so its not that hard to convert on your own. The majority of the Pathfinder core rules are even made available for free online, so...

The Rules of War of the 3rd Imperium wouldn't really matter here anyway- if WW2 Earth was part of any Imperium, it would of been the 1st. So, what would the Vilani do? And who cares what the "official" answer would be? We're already talking about something that could of only happened in an alternate...
